marvel's peak human is beyond what is currently possible. comic steve has done bench press reps with 1000+lbs and 500lb arm curls. iirc, he can jump like 20'+ up and long jump 50'+.
mcu steve is somewhere in the 4-10ton range, can find pages after pages of nerds doing the maths.

really thought disney would rally their shill reviewers to pull it up, but guess bunch of people are not going to get free tickets now.

Captain America: Brave New World scored $100M 4-day opening off a B- CinemaScore, which is remarkable given that previous MCU titles like Eternals and The Marvels lost their capes at the box office with B Cinemascores. The hope is for a hold that’s better than Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘s -70% in the weekend following its 4-day Presidents Day 2023 launch. Among MCU titles (not Sony/Marvel), The Marvels owns the worst second weekend drop at -78%. Brave New World grossed an estimated $6.3M Tuesday taking its five-day total to $106.3M, which is only $21.1M behind Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘s running cume at the same point in time.

In the comics they cover this issue with both Wolverine and Deadpool. The healing factor is located in the right hemisphere of the brain. Which is why an adamantium bullet to the right side of Logan's head will kill him. So, in your example the skeleton with scraps would regenerate. Same for Deadpool, that's why if Deadpool would to be...say cut in half directly down the center of his body. The left side would die and rot but the right side would regenerate. Instead of there now being 2 Deadpools.

Like all super powers in comics, it's wildly inconsistent. Sometimes they can regenerate from a single cell, other times can be taken out with a headshot. It's whatever the writer is feeling at any given time

I agree. I was just pointing out that the particular example he used was addressed at one point in the comics. Which they have also eluded to in the movies. When Logan was shot in the head for example, losing his memory which wasn't healed/recovered till Xavier stepped in. Rolled in?

Deadpool appears behind Wolverine wearing Beast's skin as a cloak and holding a sword. Wolverine attacks Deadpool, but Deadpool reveals that his sword is made of carbonadium, which can nullify Wolverine's healing factor, and impales him with it.

Yeah, this is what Deadpool does in Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.

Well Quantumania ended up at $622.7 million and, according to Wikipedia netted the studio $100MM. That was on an estimated budget of $130–195 million. Wikipedia says that Brave New World's budget was $180 million, but no one believes that, right? If true, it is going to have to top $500 million to break even at the very least.

LOL. I already forgot all of them. Haven't watched them more than once, and most of them only partway through.

Funny thing about Phase 4 is nobody actually knows (or cares) where it ends. I've just considered everything post-Endgame to be "Phase 4", like most folks. However officially Marvel has been dividing things up and I think we're on Phase 6 now. With no tentpole movies to close out phases, who the hell knows.

Funny thing about Phase 4 is nobody actually knows (or cares) where it ends.
Nobody knows where it ends because Marvel started arbitrarily saying Movie X ends Phase Y, in Phase 4's case because the box office was terrible, and in Phase 5's case because they were jettisoning Kang and claiming Galactus / Doom in Fantastic Four was the new restart point for Phase 6 (and also the box office for everything Disney-based was terrible).

Galactus and Doom are their two remaining Big Bads that people actually care about. Hopefully each of them gets a full phase where all of the movies are about building them up and leading to an Avengers conclusion.

I think with P4 and Kang, they felt like they had all the time in the world to coast towards the next Big Bad while pushing political messaging and making the world a better place by using their platform (tm) to affect change (tm) and they kinda forgot how to make an interesting narrative throughline. It seems like the plan was to have Kang be the bad guy in a BUNCH of movies, showing up in all his variant forms. I was looking forward to Pharoah Kang. Well, hopefully Doom can revive the franchise and they can give us something worth watching for the Doom / Galactus phases. If they waste Galactus on a single movie then they really are morons.

I would add a third big bad with The Beyonder. That is the series I am curious about, as to how they handle it. I am hoping Trump's Anti-DEI policy has spread over Disney and Marvel by the time they get to it.

Life's tougher for Disney now that they don't have their handlers in the CIA funneling all that sweet sweet USAID money their way...

I'll be surprised if we don't have a couple phases of X-Men / FF related bad guys and storylines that the MCU will revolve around after these next 2 Avengers movies.

Secret Wars leads into the X-MEN Era. We aren't going to be at a loss for bad evil villains anytime soon.

Mister Sinister will be a good villain. Not terribly powerful, but he'll get a movie or two of just kinda being there.
