Well that loss chafes for LSU.
At 17 seconds left in the game you get out of bounds you're a top shelf receiver you shouldn't be trying to squeeze out an extra 3 yards in that situation. Fucking guy has had a ton of drops this year already and now this. Shit bag.
Total coaching fail to not be ready with all that time between the illegal shift penalty and when the ball got snapped. They should of been on the line, play called and ready when the ref put the ball down. No excuse and a complete lack of concentration on the coaches.
The entire game they ran their offense like they had been tearing shit up and had the run and pass down pat. Auburn mostly just kept 7 - 8 guys in the box and asked to be beaten by the pass. We never established the pass, tried to be balanced and as such never got anything going. Most of the running yards came on a few plays.
The obsession with passes at or behind the line of scrimmage needs to die. The lack of spread offense in situations where teams are playing run all the way is a bit of an unsolved mystery. Etling might not have a good deep ball but he can throw intermediate and short. No reason to have most of our passes at or behind the line (with a couple of long throws which aren't the QB's forte) and no reason to be so committed to a run game that can't net points or first downs on its own.
Entire offense needs an enema.
Time for Miles to go.
