On a related note, after seeing the Dredd film I went on a nostalgia trip and started buying the Complete Case Files from Amazon, starting with the second volume (basically for Judge Cal), currently up to fifth (Apocalypse War). Good times. This probably isn't what this thread is for, but I was hoping some of the more seasoned comic vets might be able to help me out.
Here's the thing, I read a metric fuckton of comics as a kid, mostly Marvel, X-men, Spidey etc, but haven't touched one since I was about 11 or so.
I want to get back into it, and I think if I am not mistaken Marvel did a complete reboot a year or two ago, so my question to you fine gentlemen is, where do I begin without being utterly confused about what went before, preferably Spidey or X-Men.
As a follow up to this: These guys wrote up and I guess finished issues 24 and 25, issue 24 being a cliffhanger and 25 being the resolution to their story arc. DC has decided to go ahead and just turn the book to the new team at 25, and throw out the old teams issue 25.http://www.comicvine.com/articles/j-...p/1100-147150/
For fucks sake DC.
"Unfortunately, in recent months, DC has asked us to alter or completely discard many long-standing storylines in ways that we feel compromise the character and the series. We were told to ditch plans for Killer Croc's origins; forced to drastically alter the original ending of our current arc, which would have defined Batwoman's heroic future in bold new ways; and, most crushingly, prohibited from ever showing Kate and Maggie actually getting married. All of these editorial decisions came at the last minute, and always after a year or more of planning and plotting on our end."

Dude, I don't see an issue later than number 28 still. Are you sure you aren't getting confused?I was stupid psyched to seeBoneyard by Richard Mooreback on the racks when I visited the comic book store last week. One of my favorite series in the past 10 years or so. Snatched the last copy up and promptly added it to my pull list again.
It started with a new #1.Dude, I don't see an issue later than number 28 still. Are you sure you aren't getting confused?
Try googling for Locke and keyfor those who like good stories:
lock & key is on it's final issue.
this series was started in 2008, here's the amazon link to the first 5 volumes
http://www.amazon.com/Joe-Hill/e/B00...9316949&sr=8-6
if you search on google for lock & key you'll get some woman writer
one thing i didn't know, the writer is stephen kings son. Series is good, it's about a family, bad things happen and they move back home to the "family estate" take it from there.
i'm talking about it now cuz the last issue (this week the second to last one) is gonna be released soon and as i said it's a 5 year run, 6 issues a year, it's good you can get the 5 volumes and get caught up to volume 6 when it releases or just goto shops and find the collected alpha and omega.
very few titles are good, start and end. I mean do we really want to see peter parker who should be chronologically 66?
Cool, except I can't get it in the UK and no one seems to have scanned it. Oh well. If they do tpb's again then Amazon will provide.
