Embargo rules sound fun. Work hard to win, then have to work more to even be able to leave with anything.

I wonder what they'll do on GvG campaigns, to stop something like a PRX mega guild from just clustering all around the area denying anyone else via simple zerg tactics. Maybe GvG campaigns will have size brackets or something (the mega-guild campaign, the small guild campaign, etc).
Can't defend your shit or actually get stuff if you spend all your time blocking bank access.

Yea, I could see this being more of situation that evolved with AA on pirate island. There will be some guys that will camp it for easy pickings from solo player/small groups/ stragglers and the odd mass GvG fight but no serious perma camp.

Edit: *Except possibly in the dying hours of a campaign. It could end up being a madhouse then, especially if there is alot of saltiness from how the campaign played out.

sounds fun but holy crap once the seasons switch to winter the embargo banks are going to be total bloodbaths as people try to get stuff into it before the end happens.

I'm surprised they're going the route of making export of items require PvP. I like it.

I'm also a little surprised that given the kickstarter is just for the dregs all their answers on faction export rules are based around gvg or factional realms. I haven't heard a single thing about how winners in the dregs is decided, but I guess they have enough good options that it doesn't matter.

As far as strategy around exporting, it's too early to tell. I agree that camping it could be a problem, especially at the end of a campaign, but I wouldn't be so quick to blow it out of proportion. If a campaign lasts 1 month and winter lasts a week it's likely that campaign will already be decided when winter hits and people will begin to liquidate their stuff. Plus if winter is as destitute as they say it's not like a lot of people will use that time period to gain wealth. So if there's a week period where many people are exporting, it may be difficult to guard the entrance for the entire week.

A lot of it depends on response time too. If you can just port near there it only takes one guy scouting to see that a convoy of 10 people are exporting, and then he calls in 20 people. If there's a 15 minute run to get there, by the time you're scouted by a few people you'll be able to defeat them and get your convoy exported.

Then again I think it was like a month on Treachery before anyone outside our alliance got a Commander rune (needed to operate siege weaponry).

We're in the "I don't know, sounds cool" stage. Not real sure that's podcast worthy.
Getting good hits on that interview though 1700 and top of the CF reddit.

Now if they release some concrete details on ANYTHING I'd like to see a podcast done on it.

Right now all we really have is Bloodstone campaign ruleset and Export details. Both of which still have a shitload of holes in them conceptually.

For reference: Should have just titled this episode "Maybe"

Edit: on the other hand they got 800 views for literally nothing, most of which was spillover from their wildstar episodes. I don't think 800 clicks is worth a do nothing episode.

Love the idea of the Embargo Vault, but still have yet to see why someone primarily interested in Terminator rules would care about exporting.

I almost feel like they should just not have Terminator rules at all so everyone has to care about exporting and the Eternal Kingdom (to some extent).

This reminds me of some of my first podcasts back in the day. 40 minutes of nothing and blabbing. That's why I want to do a solid 20-30 mins. I kind of feel like diving head first into this game, but I still have my reservations. Are they going to fund, then they go dark? How much communication are they going to go through with as development cycles through. Could go dark for a very long time.

I dunno, I enjoy the community building stuff. I feel like doing a decent show. I'm asking you because you seem to ground my expectations with these things. When you're in, let's do a show together and see how it goes.
