nice.
That's pretty much how the next 6 months+ are going to be. Everything they release will be pretty uninteresting.Srs: Nothing interesting in that article except that they're taking the right approach. Hopefully they'll stick to getting the combat to be a combination of enjoyable and skill based.
I wouldn't say six months. More like... 3 or so, since they plan on getting a pre-alpha release in that time frame. They'll be tuning and improvement on whatever they release, but if the game plays like shit even in a pre-alpha it's a very bad sign. That's pretty much how the next 6 months+ are going to be. Curious how that kind of transparency will play out for them. You almost have to plan what pre-alpha will look like and strategically place features in the alpha you know you can improve to demonstrate some competence. I think with the right game plan, this idea can be very effective. They just have to make sure they do not bite off more than they can chew and avoid releasing too much at a time.Well inside the next 6 months, or so they have said, they will have pre-alpha stuff that won't be under NDA so we may be able to see how shit gets shaped up from time to time. I find that mildly interesting.
I almost never miss my dates!I've never heard of a software developer who actually hit a target date so we shall see

I've been saying they need to market it like a reality show or documentary about making a game so tone down expectations a bit.Curious how that kind of transparency will play out for them. Won't work.I've been saying they need to market it like a reality show or documentary about making a game so tone down expectations a bit.

People will watch waiting for a fight or a fuck to break out, and that's just not something you want to see from old, fat, hairy pasty White dudes with one chick in the office.
