Suicide Squad was such a fucking abortion that I have almost no hope for this. Hopefully, they don't cast some fat black chick as Catwoman and Chaz Bono for Poison Ivy cuz diversity.

If only Warner Brothers had someone overseeing their DC franchise who ...
a) knew what the fuck they were doing and
b) had enough clout to be trusted within the company to actually manage the franchise
... then there would be some hope for more than just good Batman movies. And they don't have that. Not unless this whole business with Affleck is due to he and Johns not seeing eye to eye and the company has decided to stack their chips on Johns. Which would be a questionable decision at this point. Affleck is a successful film maker and Johns, for all of his success in the comic book world, isn't.

That would be a slight bump in status for Johns and they'd have to reorganize the company to create the equivalent position. Johns problem isn't so much his position it's the fact that he doesn't have the experience and proven track record in the movie industry that Feige has so he's going to be constantly second guessed and micromanaged at a studio like WB. He's a guy with a comic book background that's been given a producer's position. Feige was a producer that loved comic books. Those are two different animals.
