I tried Prozac again. It's not for me. The longer I was on it the deeper the well go. Not only did I have balance issues it was like trying to walk and think in molasis. I hope it's not that way for everyone on it. I tried to stay on it a while thinking it would get better after I got used to it. At one point I became a zombie and just sitting and there was no weay I was going to stand up and walk 3 feet. Enough of that.
Yeah, that's what being in a fugue state was like. Life in slow motion. I will not go back to that ever.

No but I've had umpteen test including testosterone and it was nowhere near low. I've tried numerous anti depressents and none of them were even livable, let alone being useful.

The thing that ticks you off is your medical records are an inch thick and you have multiple auto immune diseases conspiring in an attempt to kill me and the Dr. says "So why do you think you need an anti depressent?"

Only took an entire year, but finally made it through the waitlist for therapy here! Will see how much of a waste of time it is, I guess.

Like anything it takes time, and part of it is seeing someone that works for you. Don't be afraid to move on to another therapist.

Im not trying to harp on the TRT thing. But there are some doctors out there that.. well, lets just say they "lean left" and dont believe that males need and abundant amount of testosterone. Thinking that 200-400, even though that may be the average at your age... is fine - but Its not. 800-1200 is a good solid range for T levels. If you have AID's of some type or whatever, I have no clue.

This is 100% the case.

300 is normal. Doesn’t mean that it feels good or is moderating your mood or doing all the other awesome things T does for you in your 20-40s ie 800-1200.

Is arthritis and joint pain normal in a 50 year old? Yes. Are we okay just accepting it or would we rather have the knees of a 20 year old?

This. Mine is also normal and nowhere near “low”, but to fix the issues from having lower T I need to raise it. Give it a six month shot Borzak Borzak

Are there any OTC versions?
Not any reputable sources, no. Plenty of Boosters out there, but if it was that easy - everyone wouldnt be on a TRT plan. If your regular doctor wont do it, find an independent doctor. They'll test you, then when they see you arent already taking anything - they'll prescribe you whatever you want. Some people prefer the shots every week, two weeks, or a month - but I felt like I had mood swings with it. Like my body soaked all of it in already for example, or it would get too much on the same day as the shot and I would feel like I was getting ready to go Super Saiyan at any moment. Versus what I use now, which is the Androgel, and you can get a 90+ day supply of that for ~120 bucks with GoodRX. Androgel is applied daily, so I feel like its much more regulated. Insurance may cover it, but since I own my business - my deductible is high as giraffe's pussy.

I haven't really talked to my doctor, only see him every decade or so. Just feel like it might be about time to look into given energy and joints and all that.

Did you give journaling a try? No judgement either way.

If you did has it been helpful?

Look into pellets. Great alternative, but it is a little bit of a hassle because you have an in office procedure every 4-6 months. But really great bioavailability and more consistent delivery/dosing.

These are butt pellets in case anyone doesn't know. They go in your glutes, not your asshole.

Pellets suck dick, just get test from an underground lab if your doctor won't work with you or you don't feel like going to a clinic. One of my cousins is an infantryman and he says basically his entire squad blasts test from internet sources, they just mail it straight to your house.

I went to a “wellness” clinic all the rich housewives get their GLP-1s from. An NP reviews my bloodwork then they mail you the shit next day. I’ve done pellets from there in the past but trying the shot now. I think I like the shot better, seems to be more even, and it’s not three days of a swollen bruised ass every four months.

Vit D is another thing, that 'normal' level are sub-optimal, and which can make a huge difference for everything, pain, depression, immune system disorder. They consider 20 ng/ml normal, but really you should have 40 to 60...

If you're supplementing vit D, there are quite a few factors to absorption to be aware of; body fat and magnesium levels come to mind. I know vit K is sometime recommend to take in conjunction, though seem to recall reading that as long as your levels are ok it's a non-issue.
