Like the Alienware laptops that have the external GPU pods. Seems to me people should have just gotten a desktop at that point.

That box might as well be a mITX case with a full PC inside. CONSIDERING HE'S ALSO ATTACHING A FUCKING KEYBOARD IN FRONT OF THE LAPTOP

Class action lawsuit settled by Nvidia. Anyone who bought a GTX970 will get a $30 refund, details aren't out yet on how to facilitate that.

Some people have chatted to Amazon and been able to get a 20% refund if they mention the class action lawsuit. When I asked them it got sent to an investigation team, so who knows.

Nvidia Settles Graphics Card False Advertising Class Action

It's due to the whole 3.5GB vs. 4GB thing and false advertising.

Are my psu and gfx card both blowing out? I'm wondering if I should get a case fan for inflow since my temp showing in overwatch is 80c

CPU temp? GPU temp?

I usually face the PSU to blow out rather than in. I put two case fans in the front for added airflow. What CPU cooler? Could throw a hyper evo 212 on the CPU.

I'm guessing cpu it doesn't say. Gpu doesn't seem to wind up much during play. I kinda didn't want to fuck with cpu cooler but I may if you think it's worthwhile. I don't think I have an option in which way psu fan goes unless I open it up?

Don't open your PSU if you aren't capable to troubleshoot to the PCB component level. There are capacitors in there that can kill if you short them, not a joke.

You would orient the flow by installing it upside down in the case.

You should install a free monitoring app, or something from your motherboard manufacturer if you built the PC yourself to get the different temperatures.

If your PSU was fucking up, your computer wouldn't run slow. It would flip the fuck out and bluescreen when it randomly, uncontrollably undervolts shit. Or, you know, overvolt shit and make it explode.

Everything is running fine I'm just wondering if a case fan may pay dividends or it'll be negligible due to gpu and psu already moving air

You got a stock cooler on that CPU? If so, change that shit out. It could also be dirty as fuck with dust and shit. Take that thing outside and blow some air from compressor to clean it. If you have a few solts on the top and back to add a few more fans, why not? It could not hurt.

Well case fans are like $5 or $10, they aren't really expensive. Same with a CPU cooler - $20?

Also I think you said this was a Dell? Dell's and premades in general are awful for cooling and airflow.

Yeah they just propbably have a stock intel cooler on that thing. Buy an aftermarket one. Still 80C is a bit hot but not too hot. Usually all my PCs with the CM 212 run about 60C under load 20-30C idle depending on ambient air.

The problem is that there is probably not enough room to fit a CM212 on that bitch knowing dell cases, you will have to go with a slimline cooler, they still have them and they are still good, but a bit more pricey. Go with one that has direct brass heat pipes directly contacting the CPU.

Here, something like this...Cooler Master: GeminII M4

Keep in mind I believe he's using Overwatch's performance display monitoring. It just says "Temp", not what temp. I thought it was GPU in which case 80 isn't the end of the world.

OW displays gpu temperature. Depending on the card and settings 80c is perfectly normal. With my 980 ti at stock speeds with good airflow it would hover around 70c in OW.
