M2 vs msata, waiting vs not. Buying a complete build at once makes no fucking sense if you're buying at the parts level and assembling it yourself. And if you're stupid and just have cash flowing out your ears, half the decisions make even less sense. Like, why the fuck are you spending money on a water cooling system you don't need, when I know you're not going to overclock it and clearly you don't have much concern for longevity.

The whole point of piece mealing is to save money or that you're wanting to get the best possible components without paying ten times markup to a builder. At these specs, you might as well purchase a pre built system.

Buy that m2 if it tickles your pickle, but the tech is and was already limited.

I've tried saying it a bunch of times but m.2 drives on paper are great; but real world gains will be something like 5%. You won't see any noticeable improvement on boot times because you're still waiting on drive initialization and other things during startup.

I in fact do overclock and used to build my own water loops.

I am saving money from any prebuilt system quite easily.

I do have concern for longevity.

You are a brain dead moron.

Speaking of open water loops. Anyone have experience with parts made by Barrow? You can put together a full custom loop for half the price if you buy from china.

I have a box of barrow fittings that I am going to use in a future build. They seem like decent compression fittings when testing them with swiftech and alpha cool stuff, but I can't really compare since this will be my first custom loop.

Never did water cooling before. Do I need to change the liquid at all? If so, how often?

550LC - Asetek

Edit: NM read page...

I've been running a Corsair liquid cooler for maybe 3.5 years now, it's been solid. Cools like a champ even when it's closer to 78-80 inside because it's 115+ outside.
