i just recently threw away my xboxdvd drive (you had to replace the xbox drive with a particular drive) cleaning out junk... still have over 20lbs in ac adapters thoI still have a DVD burner, but it's left over from when I still burned Xbox 360 games.
Anyone that has moved from a basic SSD to an NVMe drive for OS/Gaming care to comment on whether it provided any noticeable difference?
Not worth the $$ extra to have nvme for gaming in my experience. Unless youre a min maxer. In personal experience , outside of dev stuff and heavy multitasking IO load situations, NVMe is overkill for very little practical return for $.Anyone that has moved from a basic SSD to an NVMe drive for OS/Gaming care to comment on whether it provided any noticeable real-world difference?
Yeah I will ISO it, just haven’t needed to since last build was from 2012 or so.I havent had an optical drive for 12 years or so. USB is much better for anything.

Lanx Was to install windows, since removed.
All is well, messing with how far I can overclock now.
FF14 loading occurs slightly faster on zone changes. Not anywhere near as large a difference as going from traditional -> SSD in the first place but still small improvements.Anyone that has moved from a basic SSD to an NVMe drive for OS/Gaming care to comment on whether it provided any noticeable real-world difference?
