Eh, bottlenecker wants me to upgrade 6600 to a 7700k or 8700k. Bc 1070. But it'll also bottleneck a 3600x. I'm bummed.

If you're using the O-11 you should really be water cooling, unless you got the one they made for air. The case is designed for water cooling, and really doesn't do great on air.
I've never water cooled before. Whats a recommended setup for this case?

I'm not familiar with that case but a general rule for an AIO is to have the fans pull air in to cool the radiator

The fucking Viewsonic monitor I bought has started having some weird screen tearing glitches in a few games. I'm guessing the model will fail gsync certification. I'm going to have to jump back into the same monitor buying process I've been in for years now.

Shell out for a really good CRT monitor and that wouldn't actually be too horrible

Nah. I remember how shit they were, even the good ones. I had Sony or NEC and don't miss the curved screens or the bad colors or the low res or anything about them.

Thinking back on this stuff is funny. Back then, I had no problem shelling out $600 for a monitor. Now...not so willing! Or thinking a $2k laptop with nothing on it was a good deal, but I think something that is 100000x the machine is too much even though it technically costs less in real dollars.

really?

My 6700k seems fine, unless I'm misreading this site

Right you are. Hmmm. Looks like the key is i7'ish and some more stuff. A 7700k is 400 eurocuck dollars here, so, yeah. 6700k are nowhere to be found, hmm. Was indeed hoping to reuse my shitty 1151-gen 1 board (asus b150-pro) and just get a better cpu that fits, eg not gen2. Looks like that ship has sailed, unless I find something used. But they're good for delid I'm told, the i7's, so, ppl sell them and price them as if they are gold still.

Was thinking if it's that kind of money I might as well just get a medium'ish ryzen 5 3600x. But then bottlecockblocker says my gfx is too tiny and suggest a gfx 2080. Now I know how bodybuilders feel when the balls shrink as the muscle mass grows. Ignorance is bliss, damnit.

What would you do, Noodle?

I wouldn't put too much stock in a site that doesn't disclose what data they're using to make their calculations.

Anyone know of any other cases that utilize side ports rather than front or top? I love the In Win 900 series cases, but they seem to be more for liquid cooling builds.
