I would never buy a monitor for work. Amazon is gonna flag Brahma pretty soon. Going through expensive monitors like my son does diapers

The obvious joke here is that Brahma needs the rgb to see where the mousepad is

At my work...

We get dual 22” (maybe even 20”) monitors. A lot of us asked for bigger screens but we were told it wasn’t justified for our group by our own management. So, we asked our IT group if we could buy bigger monitors out of our own pocket. They told us no because they’re not “approved” by them, and if we installed them ourselves “we could get injured.” Gotta love big corporations with ridiculous rules. Our IT people are also unionized. They also said no to installing monitors purchased even if it’s one of their approved ones from our internal IT store site.

How unfortunate that your work monitors fell on you and injured your person. Knowwhatimsaying?

I told this story before, but once I was a contract person at a ford facility, engineering design. Anyway it was a union place, their entire IT dept was union. so one day they tell oour group that we have to move to another area in the office. Took an entire week. One dude came out to unplg everything, another to package it all up, then yet another to move it all, then the opposite dudes to set it all up followed by IT dudes doing their thing. 7 fucking days to move 15 dudes 50 yards. Sent us all home paid and they lost some 600-700 man hours productivity for the week. GG unions

Well to fair that IS how you would move em. And everyone is going to help move. Would just be all the same night.

Place I work for now they jsut tell us to move our own shit. Entire departments moved in a few hours and no one ever got hurt by their monitor or fucked up anything. I worked here for 15 yrs now and probably moved about 6 fucking times. I think I workded in every area in this damn office. Last move was literally the same quad cube just over the wall. Less than 4 feet.

Heh. My office was moved one night without even being told. They moved everyone from directors on down, and didn't want to hear the bitching, so they just did it. I always move my own shit. I like it being setup properly/my way when I do have to come into the office.

Yeah. I'm done. Keeping the 43" Acer. It's a great monitor that I am used to now. I would cry if Amazon revoked my Prime membership.

man if you somehow got hurt by a modern lcd you deserve whatever brain damage you get...

now old lcds, thats different i was rearranging my basement workout room and moving the old 32in vizio to the ddr area and holy shit, i swear it weights 80lbs. idk how i got it up the first time but i couldn't get it "unhooked" from the wall mount. i swear i heard the stud shake when i tried to lift it up, and i was just standing on a rinky dink folding chair. so i got off and went to grab my big boy ladder and set it up as a platform

then i replaced that lcd with a newer 43in and that shit was so light i did it with one hand, jesus.

I still have my old 40" mitsubishi CRT down in the basement. One of, if not the largest CRT TV ever made. Took 4 of us to move the fucker downstairs and probably going to stay with the house if we ever move. Thinking back we should of just pitched the motherfucker because once down there it never got used. We were thinking that the kids would use if for console games. But the LCD TVs took off so fast and got so cheap so quickly it never made sense lol. It was passed own to me form my pops which bough it new for like $3K-$4K back in the day.

Might be worth some money to the CRT enthusiasts depending on how good it is for gaming

At least when I worked at Rayhteon moving your own stuff was a union issue.

I'd come in extra early just so I could move a monitor in one day rather than 7
