Who, in 2020, doesn't have central air...Better than paying 10-12k to install AC.
I live near-ish the ocean in a place where you only need AC 2 months out of the year. But those two months are fucking brutal lol and then September is a total tossup. By Columbus Day you're back to freezing your ass off. It's mid-June and it was in the mid-40s last night.Who, in 2020, doesn't have central air...
Any house in new England built pre-1990Who, in 2020, doesn't have central air...
I'm from New England, what savage doesn't upgrade their hvac...Any house in new England built pre-1990
Nearly every house in WA doesn't have it either. Lucky for me it was installed in the house I bought.Any house in new England built pre-1990
Listen I can be okay with most rgb stuff, but if you buy rgb cables we can't be friends (and all the rgb cables are garbage)Nearly every house in WA doesn't have it either. Lucky for me it was installed in the house I bought.
So on topic... I got the approval from the wife to build a desktop "for me", but RGB'ed out like crazy for my 7 year old son. I think the idea will be wait until around Black Friday and buy all the parts then, and hopefully by then we see something on AMD's 4000 series desktop processors and nVidia's 3000 series cards.
What's the best way to get quality parts, but RGB it? Like look up the H100 fan, but then see if there is an RGB version? Will have to google RGB cables as well. I'm going all out on this build for the kid.
How about just glow in the dark cable wraps?Listen I can be okay with most rgb stuff, but if you buy rgb cables we can't be friends (and all the rgb cables are garbage)
Impossible unless I take my house down to the studs.I'm from New England, what savage doesn't upgrade their hvac...
Isn't ductless more efficient than central air anyway?Impossible unless I take my house down to the studs.
I did install ductless though, which is god-tier if you can't get central air
Unless your computer literally dies in a fire don't buy anything until Ryzen 4000 and the new GPUs come out.Nearly every house in WA doesn't have it either. Lucky for me it was installed in the house I bought.

What do I do after my computer catches on fire with a 3090ti?Unless your computer literally dies in a fire don't buy anything until Ryzen 4000 and the new GPUs come out.
It's the most efficient cooling/heating as far as I know. I find in NE that using it as a supplement to radiant heat doesn't really work too well though. We seem to go from summer to dead of winter super fast. And you can't really use these for heat outside of fall/spring. Inefficient as hell in the winter.Isn't ductless more efficient than central air anyway?
Certainly if you're going to use it as supplemental to oil fired hot water heat.
While it is all still rumors, the rumor is the 3080ti will be in the $1000 range while the 3090ti will be the $1500 card.

It still won't do anything if this room is 85 degrees in January. Having to open a window in the dead of winter to play video games is pretty stupid. You are still roasting your ass off in that shoebox? Jesus. Put in AC and be done with it.
