Same deal here, especially weird given that the Awoken have a different voice actor so you would think they'd give that actor a different script to reflect the fact.

I can understand it:

(1) the levels are a long boring slog solo, which is compounded by
(2) no matchmaking (unless i missed it, you can't even talk to people in your fireteam unless you are in party in xbox live?)
(3) 30 FPS, some might not care but ugh I can't stand it, either way it is not next-gen
(4) guns and controls in general are sloppy (compared to say COD, BF4, Titanfall) but that is probably due to 30 FPS. ;(

Game is a solid 7/10 for me. Definitely playable but some kinda dumb decisions. Would have given it 9/10 if it was 60 FPS, better gun feel, and there was matchmaking with voice. The game is mediocre solo and awesome with a group, so I don't understand why they wouldn't make it as dead simple as possible to get in a group.

Yeah, I'm 25 as well. I would be much higher if I didn't keep getting other classes purple gear. When I level up my hunter, I have legendary chest,gloves, and boots for him.

I've seen one 29 walking around in the tower

Are you guys finding the loot just by running strikes? Just hit 20 last night and curious about the best way to progress.

Yeah grinding the fuck out of strikes.

There is a better way, but you need to farm engrams in a specific spot with 2 people.

Once you have 100 marks go to mars or venus and farm rep from patrols, its way faster then strikes.

I like doing mars because you can loot those uber chests.
