I've come to the conclusion that Crusader is either A) the most gear dependent of the classes, B) the weakest, or C) the class I have the most godawful luck of getting gear to move past T4 with.

WTB carries so I can at least level my gems

Now, I just need one more...
Yeah, that's what I said on day 2 of S2. Now 40 or so ring drops and several thousand blood shards later, I'm back to playing non-seasonal because there's no point in even trying GR35+ without a pair of the goddamn things.

I'm like Paragon 350 and haven't seen a Unity yet. I even spent at least a few thousand blood shards on rings trying to get unity/soj.

Reading a DH guide and it's saying an Arcane Barb is the best in slot cross bow but I don't see how. What's so special about the Barb?

Because it's craftable and you can craft an ancient with perfect stats.

Plus slower weps (2h xbows) do more dmg for cluster builds.

Games like PoE give you a shitty amount of quality of life services. A horrendous amount of stash tabs, having to buy any type of good looking armor, characters, etc.
I put over 1500 hours into PoE without buying a single stash tab and didn't suffer because of it once...

Well technically it's not, Buriza is better but hard to get all the right rolls. Barb is considered top tier because it's craftable thus allowing you to make them until you get an ancient with perfect stats.

Had an ancient inna's staff drop with 3800 dps & dex/vit/sweeping wind. Can reroll the damage range and if it tops out, would be about a 240 damage increase or reroll vit/sweeping to +10% damage but wasn't sure if that would be a flat 10% to the listed (380) or 10% of the damage range.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm jealous of your Inna's.

The %damage increases the listed weapon DPS. So if it is (currently) 3,800 that'd add 380. Which is obviously better than rerolling the range if the max you can gain is 240. The interesting question is how good is keeping SW damage. I wish there was damage tracker for D3. If I know 30% of my damage is coming from SW, then I know how good 15% more damage from SW is vs everything else. Probably unless it is a primary spender it isn't worth boosting with gear.

WD is looking a bit better now. Just not sure where to go from here? Still throwing all my shards at tasker and theo and nothin yet, but otherwise I don't know what other upgrades I have available aside from ancients to replace non-ancients.

Not even sure my skills are any good, but the confuse toads are basically infinite CC which seems nice. Is there any mana dump skill for WD that doesn't suck dick? So far the only thing that seems worth casting is either insects for big AE damage, or haunt for 20% bonus damage, with everything else like acid bomb/bears/firebats being not worth my time to cast and I'd rather just throw more confuse toads.

You don't need a damage tracker, which blue has actually said won't happen recently. Omission from the SWK set ensures it has a meaningless DPS output. Not sure it's competitive even without SWK making things obvious. Nobody has used it for actually killing since FoT was broken.

Short answer, always roll 10% damage on an ancient weapon. You'd have to have practically the lowest possible rolls on both ends of the damage range for rerolling it to be the better choice. And yeah, Sweeping Wind damage is definitely the weakest stat there, but bear in mind that by rerolling it you make it drastically more difficult to get %dmg due to all the other shit that is in the pool.

Other thoughts: decently rolled non-ancient Furnace and Torch are still better than any ancient weapon that is not a Furnace or Torch. Keep that in mind before using a dingdong if you only have one of them.

Haven't rolled a good one, but my Calamity shoots faster, and applies Mark of Death, so I'm not sure how a Barb is going to beat that. Will keep trying.

Gonna hit up the DH subreddit for some info on the new build. Changed some skills around, based again on the top guide on Diablo Fans, but need to figure out if TnT doesn't effect sentries anymore, and also if there are attack speed breakpoints I need to be looking at still.

Attacking faster is (sort of) a disadvantage for M6 builds. Since Hatred efficiency is important, harder-hitting slower shots are better than lighter-hitting faster shots.

It is because the slower 2h is more efficient. You want to be using spenders as much as possible and generators as little as possible. With a 2h it may take you 18s to spend all your hatred whereas with a 1h it would take you 12s.

TnT doesn't fit into any builds because they all call for Marauder's gloves to be worn. It was discussed previously but of the two viable builds the only real gear difference is cold uses Pride's Fall and Marauder BP and fire uses Cindercoat and Marauder's helm.

Fire you either use Cluster w/ Loaded or (more popular) Multishot with Arsenal. Cold always uses the cluster cold AFAIK.

Its a shame set bonuses are so powerful in this iteration of the game because it really does limit your build diversity. At least for pushing grifts. I could see something where you get M3 for all the pets, focus on Sentry%, TnT and the 3 wolves BP and have a pet damage focused build. But as it stands you either go M6 or you stop grifting at 30'ish.

I saw a suggestion on reddit that maybe next season they just get rid of all sets. It may make for a bit more interesting a game. I'm sure a "best of the best" legendary configuration would be made up but it would at least make it for some other viable options.
