Don't really see many people using fire anymore, it's all cold and physical (Shooting Stars) these days. Multishot/Arsenal is a T6 speed clearing build rather than something you'd use in GRifts.TnT doesn't fit into any builds because they all call for Marauder's gloves to be worn. It was discussed previously but of the two viable builds the only real gear difference is cold uses Pride's Fall and Marauder BP and fire uses Cindercoat and Marauder's helm.
Fire you either use Cluster w/ Loaded or (more popular) Multishot with Arsenal. Cold always uses the cluster cold AFAIK.
I'm playing barb now on non-seasonal and the main reason I'm enjoying it is because I know that once I get the Raekor set I will never have to wear a RoRG again, since you only need five pieces and Vile Ward is the only offset piece that is better than dumping a shit ring for a SoJ. Even in a group where Unity gets dropped you still don't go back to RoRG because Bul-Kathos Wedding Ring is the next best option. Not that anyone wants to group with a barb in difficult content anyway. Not of fan of ring of grandeur, unity ect. Required uniques for every class. Yuck man.
I really doubt it would make the game any better, it would just lower the max grift possible by like 20 levels. You still have legendaries with ability-defining effects, and then random filler for other slots. Crusaders probably would be top of the pile then though since they were designed around legendary effects from the get-go it feels like. Its a shame set bonuses are so powerful in this iteration of the game because it really does limit your build diversity. At least for pushing grifts. I could see something where you get M3 for all the pets, focus on Sentry%, TnT and the 3 wolves BP and have a pet damage focused build. But as it stands you either go M6 or you stop grifting at 30'ish.
I saw a suggestion on reddit that maybe next season they just get rid of all sets. It may make for a bit more interesting a game. I'm sure a "best of the best" legendary configuration would be made up but it would at least make it for some other viable options.
Maybe I'm not seeing something but the top DH on diablo progress are MS w/ ArsenalDon't really see many people using fire anymore, it's all cold and physical (Shooting Stars) these days. Multishot/Arsenal is a T6 speed clearing build rather than something you'd use in GRifts.

Also, fuck Unity, whoever designed it, and the slackasses who refuse to take the time to rebalance the whole GR35+ game to accommodate a nerf to it. But we've had that discussion very recently too.
Seasons are so long its a marathon not a sprint. Sets are relatively easy to collect, you'll long be farming a rarer item after you've completed whatever set many times over. Also, pretty rare crafting mat? Now you're just moving the rng from kadala to a drop, same difference. How much less fun would it be if you could craft the sets you wanted, but the crafting mats themselves were pretty rare?
To me that would be a better scenario than playing the kadala slot machine.
Takes a lot of the RNG out of the competitive scene also.
Right now It's just "Who gets better luck at kadala?" instead of any real competitive measurement.
The top DH on both seasonal (GR48) and non-seasonal (GR52) are both physical, Cluster with Shooting Stars.Maybe I'm not seeing something but the top DH on diablo progress are MS w/ Arsenal
You can't look at a profile and make an assumption. Ms w/ arsenal screams farming mats.Maybe I'm not seeing something but the top DH on diablo progress are MS w/ Arsenal
I was thinking of something similar but instead of a rare mat it would be more like set helm + lots of existing mats = setHow much less fun would it be if you could craft the sets you wanted, but the crafting mats themselves were pretty rare?

Eh I'm pretty burnt out after my 173rd rift on the same map tileset with nothing but a shitty non ancient SoJ to show for it.Seasons are so long its a marathon not a sprint. I started getting burnt out this season when all I was looking for was a Furnace. I had to adjust the reason I was playing to be about playing with friends rather than just looking for one item.Eh I'm pretty burnt out after my 173rd rift on the same map tileset with nothing but a shitty non ancient SoJ to show for it.
I don't have any friends playing hardcore ;-(I started getting burnt out this season when all I was looking for was a Furnace. I had to adjust the reason I was playing to be about playing with friends rather than just looking for one item.
Also, I've found 9 Ramalamadingdongs but not a single Furnace. Stupid game.
Ancient SoJ is pointless, since ancient only buffs things you don't want on a SoJ (i.e. a perfect one is 30% elite, 20% ele, 6% crit or 50% CHD, socket).Eh I'm pretty burnt out after my 173rd rift on the same map tileset with nothing but a shitty non ancient SoJ to show for it.
