I fondly recall some Riot CM/Dev posting chatlogs of a high profile player after he got banned for toxicity in LoL

The GW2 karma exploit was also fun.

Yeah the GW2 one was pretty fun with that one specific case of a guy complaining he didn't even do it that much and then the dev comes in and say he did it 1132times or something stupid like that, which was completely fucking ridiculous.

I mean, if you follow D3's history, not expecting to be banned sounds about right since they didn't bother banning anyone last season with the bloodshards shit I believe(they rolled back some people I think but that was the extent of the "fix" and a bunch of people kept their bloodshards even). Shit I don't even know what's the fucking point in exploiting in D3, or worse, exploiting this early in the season. If you care about rank, you know exploiting in the first month would be pointless as shit, since chars at the end of the season will be literally twice as strong as your full passives paragon 1000 char anyway. Risking anything would be stupid. If you just wanted to test out the bug, well you got a 2weeks ban, which is annoying but ultimately doesn't matter and it comes late enough that a lot of people were already done playing this season anyway, so whatever.

I think the most entertaining one I've been a part of was with GW2 where people flocked to the forums claiming they didn't use the exploit or only did it a few times and then the developers started posting how many times these supposed innocent accounts actually exploited and most where well into the hundreds and some thousands, was hilarious.

That was what jumped in my head too. I exploited the shit outta that GW2 bug on release, and when I got the ban just, 'welp, thems the breaks.' and took my time out.

Nice, might check that out more than I was planning this weekend.

Finally rolled a Furnace just as I was leaving the house. Took Damn near 30 upgrades in the cube. Now to melt it. Might post my profile tonight and see if there's any advice on where to go next.

What's paragon got to do with it though? The suspensions were only for HF exploits, they didn't/don't do a thing about botting.

I guess, but unlike the blood shard exploit just about anyone could try out the HF thing once it got posted everywhere.

Here's where I'm at so far:

barnsohard - Community - Diablo III

Pretty happy with most of the slots, just would like some better rolls on them. So guess I either cube them for rerolls or hope for better drops. Only up through GR40 so far but that was a breeze, so spending some more stones to open up others.

I doubt it. The game starts to level off after you hit the season goals. It's also getting to be the time we all remember why we stopped playing Diablo. The buddies I play with have stopped logging in and they didn't even know about the exploit.

Blizzard should focus on a 2 month season cycle and stick to it. Then spend those two months addng new items for the next season.

This might be the smartest thing you've ever said. The new season goals thing is awesome. It's so much better then trying to get the achievements you already have. Like special portrait, cool, it's a carrot for some people but doesn't break anything. They are really heading in the right direction but unless you are poopsocking to nerd awesomeness on the leader boards, the seasons start to get really stale.
