Drop rates for Keys / Organs for the hellfire rings are lame now. Just went 0 for 10 on the act 2 warden
Yeah, I mean keys being shit is kinda ok I feel, but organs also being shit is terrible, 50% max is stupid, at least before you could find someone geared enough to carry you on MP10 so even if you had to kill each mob like 20times to get your keys, you were guaranteed your ring. Now you don't even know how many keys you'll need, maybe you use 20machines and still don't get all the organs, it's fucked up. Organs droprate should be 50-100%, keys can stay as is or could be boosted a bit I guess.

Temporary thing though(70hellfire will use other systems I think they said, haven't really looked into the 70 ubers I just know they added diablo) and the hellfire ring isn't really that useful nowadays other than providing strong 1-15/20 twinking, which saves you maybe 30mins, cause you get so much free xp from the difficulty and more so with the 50% event shit going on atm until RoS.

Edit: Actually seems like the 70 quest is the same shit, sucks if they don't increase the drop rate.

The rings crafted now can trifecta often and use the new stat system so they are pretty much best in slot, + the xp bonus for now which is nice

What is the point of wasting time killing yellow and blue packs when all the legendary drops come from random white monsters and breakables? I seriously can't remember getting any legendary from any random yellows or blues since patch.

I've gotten all my legendary upgrades from bosses and packs. I got this wonderful item from a boss today :

Is that better than doing the the Legacy of Cain: Explore Cellar quest over and over again?

Edit: They seem to have changed the experience received for that quest overnight? I was getting a lot more last night than I am this morning.

They've been going around nerfing all the stuff people are using like that yeah.

Got the new Firewalkers yesterday, they're a fuckton better now. I have some old ones I was using to break shit by walking over it but the damage it did was pretty much a joke(like it does 5k per tick or something, doesn't seem to scale). Now it does 100%weapon dmg per second. It's not like insane, but it's a pretty good bonus especially since the aoe is large enough that everything in melee range gets hit even if you're not moving. They also rolled new stats range so it has like 280dex/vit instead of my old ones with 120dex 90vit, pretty cool.

I'm still awaiting approval to get into the clan and I also picked up some sweet legs last night. The offhand I'm currently using allowed me to use sacrifice:for the master in a pinch because I get free dogs.

I watched the vid posted of the guy farming crypt over and over for exp. He was talking about exp per hour doing that, but holy shit if I played like that for 15 minutes I'd end up quitting shortly afterwards. What a dull way to play, he didn't even kill elites or loot anything, what's the point of playing diablo like that?

I'm annoyed at the upcoming hotfix nerf to repeating quests. While something like repeating mira over and over probably should not be profitable, I don't doubt they nerf quest exp to almost nothing. So starting in the middle of an act and knocking out some quests while clearing to the act boss will probably give almost no bonus.
I read somewhere it is 60% less xp, but I can't find a blue post anywhere, if that is the case that still seems more than reasonable to me, so many quests you can do that take about a minute and award 3-9m xp based off of difficulty. And don't forget they are buffing the first time turn in. I am strongly biased because I was already playing through the game because that is just more fun to me than doing the same thing over, and over, and over, but I am very happy to see they took this route because I thought for sure the neckbeards would ruin it again to where all quests gave practically zero experience all the time. Quests before this patch gave like 5000 xp, we could have gone back to that.

I've been leveling a Wizard on Hardcore. Man, leveling there is so much easier now when you can count on crafted stuff being good quality. My 33 (also 33 Paragon) Wizard has 3.3k damage. I could get it higher but I don't want to risk higher quality gems in case I'm not paying attention or something bad happens.

Wizards also feel a little ridiculous

I started leveling a barb this morning and hit level 20 at the end of Act 1 playing on Hard. Someone was saying to switch to Expert after level 15, but things just took too long to kill and I even died a few times. Crafted gear helps, though. Also, I'm not sure if it's the nature of the class, spec, or my gear, but I sure seem to take a lot of damage.

Yeah, I started a new monk and have been running through on master and I was taking practically no damage for the longest time because my hellfire ring had armor on it.

If you have gold laying around and want to pay for the expansion just throw that shit on the RMAH. I sold 250M this morning for 28 bucks and the auction was up for about 5 minutes.

Sent you an invite. Been getting a lot of people just randomly wanting in the clan. So if the username matches the forum handle, that helps speed things along. If your character is named after dave matthews band, we might auto reject you.

Just to clarify, if one of you is named "LebronHasHIV", you're not getting an invite anyway.

I had no issue switching but it can be class dependant. But I've done it on barb recently, I crafted decent weapons though, dualwielding and upgraded everytime I had a new one available(type didn't matter). For healing I was using Revenge for a while then Rend with the healing rune, so I didn't bother too much with armor but was running the half your vit into armor passive the entire time. Kept rend with healing rune until I hit 60, you get the good rend rune at like 56 and it doesn't seem worth it using another when this one keeps you alive fairly easily.

That said the difference between hard and expert isn't big on xp iirc, so it's not worth it if you feel it's too slow. I don't really care about one shotting stuff and like sometimes being challenged so I'd often bump difficulty even if it was less efficient.

I don't get why they removed NV. It just leads to exactly what we see now - spamming new games to make use of cooldown abilities. And rares just become an annoyance. Fighting them requires a build that is slower for XPing and often results in nearly unavoidable deaths (losing pool bonuses)

I went from farming on MP5 and killing Diablo on MP10 to getting raped sideways by rares on NV1. Most will kill me at least once. There is shit I can do about it other than run away and wait for my potion to come off cooldown again. To compensate for the life steal and other healing nerfs you are supposed to use bloodthirst and heal off of rage use. But rage generation is nerfed to crap, so you are forced to use "increase rage gen" runes - everything else is now useless. Which is exactly what the whole redesign was supposed to avoid. Worse, the only good rage generators are fire-attuned, while our most efficient skill is physical only. So fire synergy becomes your only choice once decent +elemental gear starts dropping. How did this level of dogshit make it past beta?

I was having problems on Torment 1 after farming on MP5 or so until I toyed with a lot of builds. Now torment 1 may as well be normal for me for how dangerous it is. Just sticking with WW so far though, been playing my monk too much to mess with HotA/Spear/whatever is the new barb hotness.

I'm having the hardest fucking time finding upgrades, I've gotten a MAX of 1-3 legendary drops per slot (no amulets or gloves yet) and have seen 11+ 2h's.
