Game runs fine for me. Maybe your computer is terrible. The only real annoyance I have is in combat sometimes it is difficult to click on things to attack and I have to wave my cursor for a little while to find the magic spot where I can actually click it.This game runs like shit. Being able to move every object is a nice idea but if you can't program a system to run it smoothly then DON'T DO IT.
The UI is also shit. No I don't mean window design by UI, I mean that fucking mouse clicks often don't work or act like you expect. So frustrating.
The game design is shit. I shouldn't be figuring out which gate to use to exit the massive town by manually walking through each one and checking what levels the monsters are. I've played for 7 hours including rerolling a few characters and I've had around 10 fights total, thanks over elaborate starter town and it's murder mystery.
I replayed the Baldur's Gate trilogy a few weeks ago and it has none of these problems. So no "it's going back to an older style of gaming" crap please.
That being said the combat and character building seem awesome so i'll stick with it.
Vendors reset their inventory every level, but no specific place. If you die too much it's easier to just reload than rez everyone but eh. Rez spell is lvl 16 too so that kinda sucks.Getting rekt in this game but it's pretty addicting. Is there a place to get a lot of res scrolls? I can't bring one of my party members back to life
Something is wrong, either with your PC, or the settings, or something. You shouldn't be having those first two issues. Also, those probably contributed to your subsequent frustration with the game. This game runs like shit. My PC pegs this game but it still runs like shit. I have had several overheats with this game. Similar %s as far as utilization as other games but 15+ degrees higher... I can't make sense of it.Yeah game runs perfectly fine for me, never drop from 60FPS or have any issues, might be gfx specific or your pc is just pretty old/details too high. Clicking has some issues sometimes in inventory when you try to drag and drop items right after opening a bag or using a spell or something and it'll click something else but this happens very infrequently and other than that haven't had an issue. Click mobs can be annoying but rotating the camera or going vertical view generally fixes it.
On the gameplay stuff, it might have been too subtle of a clue for people, but one of the gates is actually opened right away, you don't need to ask a guard to open it then confirm, and that happens to be the gate that's the easiest(the lighthouse direction one). It's basically saying "you should go here first".
Drivers issue maybe? Sounds really weird cause yeah as most other people didn't have a single issue, everything's on max and it never slows down even when I do shit like charging through a fire field with poison on(which creates a chain reaction of explosions on the way very quickly due to charge movespeed). Granted my computer is pretty new so that obviously helps. Divinity being a kinda indie game though I would assume it has issues with shit like win xp, possibly ATI cards I don't know.Cleared the lighthouse, esort quest and the weird mirror dungeon to get upto lv5, really enjoying the combat. Think I'll do either the orc beach or creepy manor next.
I have the settings on minimum, I'm utterly puzzled at the performance issues. The only explaination I have is that it's poorly programmed and can't handle quad cores or something. I've just been playing Final Fantasy 14 which ran fine.
They kept doing that to me with the eastern gate forever, so I didn't open it until I had cleared the rest of the chapter. At that point I had already killed the eastern gate area's boss in his reincarnated version before I met him in his first version. Still, the guard kept telling me I was too low level to go out, despite being level 10 when that area is level 7.When I tried to open the other gates at lvl 4-5, even the guards asked me whether I really want to go outside.
I didn't even know there was an open gate, it was the last one I found! I still haven't found the single quest they telegraph you to, which is "golem in a cave to the north".They kept doing that to me with the eastern gate forever, so I didn't open it until I had cleared the rest of the chapter.
