This.blood seeker is much like pudge, when he is on your team he is awful, when he is on other team - pro.

Don't worry man, you'll learn it all in time. Starting out fresh in Dota is a pretty tough thing to do and you'll lose more than you win; just how it goes. Eventually - if you stick with it - you'll know every hero, every ability of every hero, and ever item.I'm going to assume that's what he was doing. It gave him a huge advantage over the rest of us.
There's a button at the top of your shop which switches the look between tiled (lots of items, no titles) and detailed (few items, many tabs, item names)So since I've started playing I've been watching a lot of Purge videos on Youtube. One thing I've noticed, his UI is different. Are these videos from a previous patch or build of Dota? Because my shop and stats look nothing like the ones in his videos. Is this game customizable like Valve's other games at all?
Since this has happened on multiple occasions, I'm sure you can dig out at least one example. Go on, we'll wait.however every single one of my team mates are in the Normal skill bracket while all opponents are in the very high. This has happened on multiple occasions
The hell?.. Matches are recorded? Seems every time I play another match, watch another video and check this thread I'm learning more and more shit about this game.Give us the match ID if you want people to give you more specific tips.
I think one of the best heros to stomp with is now gyrocopter. I grouped with some people yesterday and was matched against people with 100 wins and stomped. You just level your third skill and whenever you attack a creep or deny, it hits everyone within 1000 range (which is very large) for 3/4/5/6 hits. Pretty much gives you free harass and they can't do much about it, even if they try to stay back. And if they try to kill you just use rocket barrage as it does like 300 dmg at the first level. I was solo vs tiny / kotl in my hard lane but got a double kill on them. The hell?.. Matches are recorded? I'm still trying to figure out what I'm best at, just not the hero but what role to play. Something I've noticed very quickly that even though playing against bots is a great way to learn and practice a role/hero but it leaves out the teamwork portion of the game. Bots are..well bots. The real matches I have played there's no communication, and the ones where people have talked it's in russian.
I'm pretty comfortable with a handful of heroes now. Drow, gyrocopter, and viper. Been toying with Zeus and Bloodseeker but not too much experience with them yet.
I've been reading this thread about the comments towards Meepo and watching Purge play him, I'm kind of intrigued and want to try him. I've always been more inclined to play the "busy" role in other games, Meepo seems to be the micro manage type hero which I like. Though I'm sure if I play him in a real match I'll just get my ass handed to me repeatedly and piss off the "elitists".
I only que solo and what he said is also my experience. Most games are stomps one way or another. 500+ games so farYour stack of friends is carrying you to a higher rating than your skill level, then you get pummeled back down when you queue solo. Sorry, bro. Truth hurts.

And there are no wards/TPs because they're all: noobs, BRs, Russians, or fat, greasy, virgin, basement-dwelling, rage nerds.Pubs I blame 99% of losses due to wards / no tps
My stack of friends consist of a couple players who have been playing the game for <2 months and another that's been playing for roughly 5 months they're not bad players by any means, it's just I don't think that's the scenario.Your stack of friends is carrying you to a higher rating than your skill level, then you get pummeled back down when you queue solo. The best example I can think of to support the crushing victory/loss theory is one game I played we were against very good players, constant coordinated smoke ganks, wards all over the map, dewarding our wards, good coordination etc. We lost pretty quickly, the next game I go mid as TA and get first blood because the puck I was laning against didn't move out of Psi blades after 5 attacks. I then went like 20-5 and we crushed them. It's either one or the other. You cannot say something about your teammates is for sure when this game involves 10 random people every game. I will agree that I seem to have streaks of wins and then a few losses in a row where I have BRs, noobs, or bad play to account for.
You cannot possibly say what "skill level" someone is. I have a bad game sometimes but I feel I'm a good player. Some games I get outplayed and look like shit. Frustration effects a person's play. Maybe that teammate that is shitty just had 3 bad games in a row, is frustrated and probably shouldn't be playing, but wants to win one before they get off, but they just play like shit.
It is a little more apparent when you have BRs spamming the mic to blame all BRs, but I'm sure some are silent and do well too.
Though I will continue to blame BRs, noobs, and fag tryhard tri-laners for all my losses, but the reality of it isn't true and stating it as fact on the forums doesn't change that.
Such a good build up ended rather abruptly. Feels like a movie without any payoff!Navi vs 3DMAX in defense tiebreakers, damn, that ending.
