I think this year TI stays in the west, China doesn't seem to evolve particularly fast and this was the last big LAN before TI. If there is a team that could upset that, it's the one with Xiao8, VG seems to be in crisis, but they still have great supports who could pull off similar stuff to Secret. I don't think there would be any complaints if it was Secret vs EG finals again though, you can see that they don't have to play their best against anyone else, or more precisely their best leaves everyone else in the dust.

Some amazing games in this tourney, and.... Techies (My favorite hero by far, finally got to see someone play the hero correctly) Are so fun to watch.

Got a question, seems like teams pick Sven last, then hope for wombo combo good strength, and roshan farm. Why not pick skeleton king instead? You get roshan as a skill, can make him stupid tanky with heart + pipe, blink to initiate, ae stun, his life steal and critical skills saves you two inventory slots... Just feels like he should usually hold demand over sven.

But Fuck, techies. Was so hilarious. Lol

The amount of damage Sven can do while ulti'd if he can hit people is ridiculous, if multiple heroes are close together he can instantly kill a few with a single crit. He can also farm a lot faster with built-in cleave.

That's the wombo combo I mentioned. Drop the life steal item and I think you could get skeleton kingp up to a decent farm rate, esp with a bfury. It seems like they pick it for a prayer on the wombo combo, which rarely lands, then lose farming for Roshan because Sven doesn't tank very well and with stun, aegis, and being the carry he has to initiate.

Given the same early game, what is skeleton kings farm compared to Sven? 80%?

Well there's dotapit, but who the fuck knows when the matches are supposed to happen. Otherwise yes, that was the last LAN with all the big teams, maybe something small in China or online only.

I think it was EG dictating when they can/want to play and Dotapit can't really kick the best team(s) mid playoffs. But yeah, that EG vs Secret match has become a joke, but looking at liquipedia, they should play 2 more matches this week, so we might be looking at grand finals in a week or so.

That EG vs Secret was probably the best series of Dota I've ever watched. Think it was game 3? EG last picks the perfect Storm pick. I though ppd had single handidly beat secret. Secret only has naga sleep and tusk for stuns. But Secret pick up a glimmer cape, execute perfectly, and somehow keep sumail from going apeshit on SS. Great draft and game.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Techies might take over come TI and get nerfed subsequently, because he can do shitload of damage and depending on the rest of your team, it can very hard to avoid

People used to say it was a bad hero, they are idiots.

It's a hero that can completely change the dynamic of a game, do massive damage, and sap gold from the other team in wards and gems.

Just wait until you start setting some of the really stupid shit that can be done with techies. Got a feeling that might be secrets play since rtz is playing them (heart, deso, euls, aghs, boots +1, gets hilarious when done as a carry, which is his thing).

I'll be honest, I had a new found respect for techies after Kuroky played him in that game with Tusk at ESL. Shit was really ridiculous.
