Kuroky played Techies in a pro game like 7-8years ago during one of the last big dota1 tournament, it was the first time I actually saw the hero(I didn't play dota1, but I started watching games back when I started playing hon) and it was great. Tobi was casting too, was when he was still young and basically one of the only ppl doing english casts of dota, he hyped it up a lot and it didn't disapoint. So yeah this to say, Kuroky isn't a stranger to Techies in competitive play, it's definitely something. Just like Pudge and Dendi, it's not a super strong strat, but it's far enough out there that people can't prepare properly for it, and it requires you to rethink everything during the whole game.

Tusk is also a major difference compared to before, his toolset works very well with Techies. Used to be you ran Tiny for Toss, but the combination of snowball and snowshards to create a blocked area as well as punch to disable for enough time to drop a mine makes all the difference.

I can't stand Sunsfan or Shane, glad they're not casting. Zyori is just terrible as well, he has alright play by play but anytime he tries to analyze things it's cringeworthy. Pyrion knows that he knows nothing and is entertaining. OD is great although I am starting pick up on his mannerisms and crutches the more I listen to him.

I like that Valve just invited everyone they thought was best and not people who were just in the scene longer, Sheever aside.

Sheever? Partly, but she's not half as bad nowadays, especially since they never get her to cast stuff, she does analyst desk discussions and stuff and does a pretty good job at that.

I'd say the most important person missing from the list is LD. He hasn't officially said why he wasn't invited, though it's probably more of a case of him changing role from caster to organizer/whatever and he's still invited.

He just wanted to point out that Valve is playing with people's heads with the invites, since there's no metric and they announce it a month in advance, leaving those who didn't get invited but still want to looking at increased prices.

Sheever is pretty good, I know people here like to hate on her, but she works pretty hard to not be labeled as the token chick and I think she deserves the invite based on her skills.

Bulldog doesn't cast or analyze. Draskyl is a pretty good at both.

Any time I hear either Zyori or kotlguy (or both together /shudder) I wonder whether English is even their first language given how many words and phrases they use incorrectly.

I'm surprised they're giving Nehaz a microphone, he doesn't know when to stop talking monopolizing time and constantly talks over people. Plus he seems to believe the fallacy that correlation implies causation.

They need to announce the newbie stream as well. Not sure if those on the list would cover it or it'd be independent. LD does have a point though.

I don't understand the draskyl hate. While he doesn't have much of a personality he's a solid 5.5MMR caster that understands the game as much as anyone.

As a person who only watches dota 2 and does not play at all, I don't get the hate people have for all these personalities. I've watched pretty much every tournament and not once did I think "man I hate/dislike this caster" or thought they shouldn't be casting at all. I'd say the only complaints I've ever had were minor annoyances such as saying things like "Um, Yeah, So, etc" to fill gaps

It's crazy the amount of feelings over the matter.

The only one I can't stand listening to is Ayesee, mostly due to the fact that he never seems to acknowledge making a mistake. The rest I deal with just fine.
