Basically you have to validate your Steam acc with a purchase because they were having fraud problems. I also recommend getting the Steam app for 2factor auth

Oh well, fuck it. Not that important.

Steam has more safeguards against bots than anything I've ever seen in my life. Worth it I guess, I never interact with bots in game or anything so I guess it's there for a reason.

When Valve came out with these changes they basically said it was either that or getting fee hikes from the major credit cards due to fradulent transactions.

You should consider just getting the compendium if you've got such a broad range of heroes.

It should give you quite a few good skins.

If you buy any non dota game on steam, does that validate your steam account? The problem arises only from individuals who only play dota/use steam smurfs that the scamming takes hold. None of us with 200 games would get any value in a dota scam equal to our library of games.

Probably does, since I've never once had an issue buying compendiums for dota. I'm sure it's 100% related to the fact that both steam and dota are free and thus it requires some form of protection against 80billion free scam account style things.

Finished the bane skin quests today, now I gotta fill out 40 stars in that one and finish the other 2 (fuck the dominator one, abyssal blade quest is dumb, you have to actually get the kill hit and it doesn't even register them 80% of the time for me when I do get the kills).

I think it's a direct nerf to the playstyle where he was played for the napalm and firefly, previously you were simply fucked if he ever caught you since there's no outrunning him, now you can tp out, especially if he delayed lasso due to maxing both by lvl 8-10.

Surprised they only tuned PA's dagger range (again) instead of adjusting the damage at various levels or something

Lvl 1 dagger harassment is rough stuff lol
