Correct, but once you get it, it greatly accelerates your farm and leveling elsewhere, which is important.

By the time you have midas you kill ancient stacks before they can stack, so what you'll do is get your midas go use it on the large camp, start heading back to ancients at ~40 seconds, stack camp, back to jungle, stack, back to jungle. When you have a 3 stack, kill rinse repeat. It's viable if you're left alone but if you're in a game that's above the normal bracket I really doubt that will happen. The one time I was able to do it

the trick is to use the midas on the nearest camp as soon as the cooldown is up, then walk back to ancients whilst making sure you're stacking at every opportunity. Every AP game on radiant side I'll go Medusa as it's an easy way to farm wins.
Midas, Power Treads, Ring of Basilus, Skadi, Manta Style, Butterfly
At the low bracket the only thing that stops the win is if the rest of the team can't cope whilst I'm stacking/farming.

Edit: I killed her 5 times <10 minute mark and then her and her friend Omni rage quit. Then again that's not even required. Just employ the use of wards. If you want to be a real dick, just plop one down on the very edge of the ancient camp as the ancient farming requires her to place a ward.

Edit2: What I'm trying to say is this isn't a good strat and it's part of the reason why Medusa gets a bad name. This and bad players that think it's a good idea to farm Linkens first on her. You're giving her a bad name and it hurts me.

It's pretty funny seeing all these heroes that I loved playing finally coming in to the meta. First it started with Puppey picking Enchantress, then everyone grabbing Visage, then Ursa bear, now everyone on Treants dick. It's only a matter of time before we see Spirit Breaker.

Seems like your team is doing work while you farm too, but we can't see what skill bracket this is in, that could show a lot.
You could just read the last handful of posts. He's talking about low skill and he has already mentioned that his strat would not work outside of low skill.

We really need tags or something in this thread for people in the low skill bracket, not as a bad thing, but so we don't argue over how the game is played since its completely different at low vs everything else.

Well... I kind of did preface my post multiple times by saying it wouldn't work outside of the normal skill bracket dude. You really shouldn't come back with it OWNED NEWB post whenever you link me games that I specifically said it would work well in.
When it comes down to it, I wasn't trying to insult anyone. I'm trying to be educational here. If you practice assuming your enemies are going to make mistakes, you'll never improve on the game. So in the spirit of remaining educational about it I'll say that you might want to improve your item build she's hero that is basically a brick shithouse when farmed and to make yourself completely unkillable you should probably stick with butterfly. the reasoning behind that as well is that raw agility is her best stat.
