The biggest boost this game had is all the ignorant fanboys who wanted to buy this simply because it's the latest Dragon Age game who still had some faith in Bioware's ability to make decent video games.Out of the steam top 25 after a week. BG3 has more concurrent players now than this game had on release week.
Another week or 2 and this will be out of the news cycle and forgotten.
Yup, and then everything eventually falls apart because the core demographic of people who genuinely had a passion go away and all that's left is a bunch of hipsters who wanted to take it over when it was popular and women who only got in on it to garner attention and validate themselves.
