Its great thing that people are starting to vote with their wallets. Hopefully these companies realize that people dont want this shit in their video games.

Maybe other companies will learn something from 2024, but not EA or BioWare. Same team of degenerates are working on Mass Effect now.

So was BG3. There's no reason to believe either RPG would get vastly disproportionate sales on console (afaik).
Let's see, one is point and click and the other one has knock-off GoW controls with an action radial. There's definitely a reason to think that the console/PC split would have significantly different ratios.

Look, I'm not defending this game. It's bad enough that I'll probably never play it. Though I would if my backlog wasn't 7+ years long.

But it doesn't look like the massive flop that people with motivated reasoning are trying to claim, particularly for a series with a 12-year gap.

The only things Failguard and GoW have in common are third person camera and woke garbage. If you really want to call it a knock-off of something, it'd be Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thought there were reports of a lot of refunds and cancellation even for console sales, and raw numbers from most stores weren't that high, either.

There are, but that's not something that can easily be verified with hard numbers. About the only thing truly indicative of it being a dumpster fire is that EA's PR machine would be blasting the news everywhere if it was a success.

Yeah kinda this. We haven't seen EA tweet out some "X million sales in Y days" thing like other publishers tend to do to hype up the release.

We have UK sales data for Playstation.
In the form of an extremely vague statement from someone who may or may not have seen the actual numbers? Same dude also said that it did worse than Star Wars Outlaws.

Capcom considered DD2 sales, "medicore". it broke 3.3m sales after 6months.

I can't find much info on its budget. lots of 50-70m theories. but no real hard numbers. Just guessing.

announcing games breaking 1m is pretty normal. and them NOT doing so is telling. But there is a counterpoint, if a game is expected to hit 3-5m or even 10+..and barely hits 1m. they aren't going to want to announce that. it will make them look bad.

like this point for rogue trader. again, they have not announced 1m sales. so either it didn't hit that... or, they don't want to announce that its doing worse then wrath of the righteous.

but to go back again..

mist is suggesting its doing as well as DD2. and DD2 hit 2.5million in a week. "At over 3 million copies sold (2.5 million in the first week), Dragon's Dogma 2 is considered a major success for Capcom, "
its sales must have just tanked over the long term.

if Vielgaurd had 2.5m sales in a week. they would have announced that.

Ok, so some more insider information was leaked and the budget for Veilwoke is reported to be ~200m and as of today the game has sold between 600-650k units across ALL platforms and that doesn't account for returns which are estimated to be between 10-15% of sales.

Using the most optimistic calculation, the game has sold ~600k units and needs to sell ~5million just to break even.

This game might sell a total of 1m over its entire life cycle, but it's another 9 figure loss regardless of what happens.

I was supremely confident that Assassin's Creed: George Floyd would do worse, but these numbers are sowing some doubt. I have a hard time believing that Ubisoft's game won't sell at least 1m copies.

It's glorious to see these woke idiots fail time after time, but it's infuriating that they take down beloved franchises with them. I suspect that the trannie project lead knew the game was going to fail, but is so ideologically captured and mentally-ill he didn't care. And was willing to destroy the brand to tell 'his' story while thinking he was sticking it to the "chuds."

Bioware is done. if they're allowed to finish making the next Mass Effect, the studio will close unless that game is an absolute masterpiece.

Its a two-fold victory; They get to make Gamerstantinople into Wokestanbul but also, per Dustborn, no one is interested in their original IP; they have to hijack and shoehorn their ideological message into an existing IP. For a decade+ they have left a trail of ruined IPs in their wake, much like Socialist revolutionaries ruining countries, moving from one IP to the next, making their vision of Wokeistan real and then findiing out that surgical scars, everyone being non-binary, and all the other trappings of female/troon gender ideology don't appeal to gamers. It's a religion for these people and they are just as much zealots as Middle aged knights or people flying planes into buildings. Plus the games are shit, which is what happens when you focus on the Message™ rather than the game. There are a number of games which have woke shit in them, but its a good game with woke shit, not a 20 hour commercial for Gender Ideology with a game attached.
