Bunch of HR speak for bullshit. New writers won't save their projects. The IPs would be better served letting another studio break open their worlds. Capcom would make a much better modern Dragon Age. BG going to Larian was a godsend or we'd have nothing in terms of narrative RPGs from the west for like the past 5 years. Could you imagine if a studio like Fromsoft got to do Mass Effect?

What best people though? Like even if you remove all the garbage from the last DA story/characters, you're still left with a pretty fucking shit game. The gameplay doesn't salvage the story stuff, and I don't think it was like that because they added queer friendly controls or trans accepting mechanics, it was just not a very good game at its core.

I have known BioWare was doomed back when my friend dated a dev up there - went up there to live w her, but she wouldn’t sponsor him for a work visa lol. She was liberal… left BioWare, worked for Lucas/Disney game dept in Korea or something and now is back in the states.

What sort of mindset does a person have to have in order to think a giant company is 'on their side.' What does that even mean? I have been successful in thr corporate world, but I have always viewed the company writ large as adversarial. They want to pay me the least they can to make them the most money I can. They are only willing to do something that makes them more money, not less. In fact, this dumb woke shit is the first time O have ever seen a company spend money for absolutely no appearance of financial gain. That is why I knew it would never last.

Yea DD2 was pretty bad but Capcom has made other games and DD2 wasn't nearly as bad as DAV.
