Can someone find that mosaic of a lot of Skeleton Keys people in a meeting, and half of them use rainbow flags as background?

I haven't read through this thread, but I've seen enough mediocre to bad reviews of Veilguard and the ramifications to the dev team.

Basically not worth buying and wait for a fire sale?

My gut tells me that it's just a cover statement because they don't want to say 'Veilguard failed because every single aspect of the game was an absolute dumpster fire and we did nothing to prevent the misbegotten abominations we staffed Bioware with from ruining the last IP the studio had'. You don't fire everyone because the game just needed some live service elements.

My brain tells me to never underestimate the capacity of the games industry for inconceivable stupidity.

yeah. thats probably just right along with the, "failed to meet the 3m projected sales" statement.

If they admitted to investors that the projected sales was 11million, then there wouldn't just be firings, their would be criminal charges being looked into.

"lack of mp elements" is something that can be fixed, and people keep their jobs. "oh we just missed the target audience, and didn't monetize is properly".

Probably some cope that BG3 was as successful as it was because it supported multiplayer. I'm sure that helped, but that was just a cherry on an already delicious sundae.
