Sometimes I dont know why you give a shit about someone saying what their preference in women is. "HOW DARE YOU NOT LIKE FAT ALOY!?!?!" Other people can contribute all kinds of shit to your taste in women just like you can in theirs. So.. what is even the point in responding? "Anyhoo" I think I'll give this game a shot when it finally gets retail. Playing Beta's and Alpha's have ruined certain games for me. Played First Descendant ages ago in its.. apha? Now I cant even get into it and I love Warframe type shit.

This needed to be a three faction/realm game that had you choose between Freman, Harkonen or Atredies. Based on your choice, you would then start on those worlds exploring and learning about each of the societies. As you got higher in level, you then begin to learn of Dune(Fremen start there)and the conflict that revolves around territory on the planet.

This would have better separated the starting regions and kept the early game from pushing the server limits. The PvP aspect could then have a similar feel to DAoC. Castles would be bases and Outposts could be keeps. The better areas would afford more spice/gold for individuals to take advantage of as long as they maintained control.

So, yeah this game looks more like a 1 player game than an MMO.

The prior trailers said the Freman are dead in this alternate timeline

The trailer does make the actual combat look jank as fuck. Like what the fuck was that flying knee "sword" attack? lol

Why the fuck would anyone care about this game if it's an "alternate timeline"? That's literally the entire point of putting it on Dune.

Because it would let them alter lore to fit the needs of the game and let’s them create a situation to explain why all these houses are just hanging out on Dune st the same time

I can't imagine reception being very good on that reveal. Good chance this thing ends up back in the oven for awhile before seeing the light of day.

The combat looking janky as fuck would be the biggest reason. Like the base building/war stuff seems neat I guess, but the combat animations looked worse than EQ1 lol

Yeah melee combat looked exceptionally…bad. Not sure who thought it was a good idea to reveal that. They have been light on the details of combat options and it seems like that was because there aren’t any.
