1: The movement is fine, I think it's based more on Sekiro now rather than Souls. You're faster moving and much more agile, and platforming is actually fun, finally. Someone who cut their teeth on Souls and doesn't like Sekiro might have issues with it though.
2: The white letters were a stupid mistake, I'll give him that one.
3: The open world environment is simultaneously the best and worst thing about this game. I love that you can go anywhere, and I'm constantly discovering new places. If I started a new game, knowing what I know now, I could get OP pretty fast by just going to certain places way before I'm supposed to and grabbing certain items. Sorta like you could do with Catacombs in Souls 1, except times 100. However, the bad side of the open world environment is that you often don't know how to progress. I spun my wheels for about 10 hours in the mid-game before I checked a guide to find out where to go next and proceeded to annihilate Raya Lucaria and Volcano Manor since by then I was way overleveled for them. I'd say the best thing to do if this is an issue is to just have a barebones list on hand that tells you where you're supposed to go for the main quest and in what order. So if you ever feel like you aren't progressing, refer to that and get pointed in the right direction.
How did you not know to go to Raya Lucaria? The Grace sites lead you to every major dungeon.
Start area points to Stormveil
Eastern Limgrave points down to Morne Castle
Southern Liurnia points to Raya Lucaria
Northern/Western Liurnia points to Carian Manor
etc.
Although I guess not much points you directly to the Volcano place. I only have a site up there due to a hilarious teleport.
