So let me ask y’all this question. After playing the game and trying various classes your initial class choice doesn’t matter later on in the game? Let’s say if I start off as a confessor and later I want to be a samurai I can dump points into a stat like dex or into strength for a vagabond to become one? Especially I just found out there is respecing in the game.

Starting class is nothing other than a selection of starter gear and point distribution. After that you can equip anything and everything you want and put your points in to any bucket.

Yeah you end up wanting to focus your stats into whatever your weapon of choice scales with. But you can do whatever. Affinities also help.

That’s it I’m sure, I remember now that you mention it that I could have probably jumped off the right side of the area right past the dog boss onto that broken pathway but after doing the rest I forgot about it completely.

Me too I think, since I'll have a ton of the spells to choose from at that point. If I have to start over for whatever reason I'm going Samurai though.

No clue when I'll get back to this after I see the end credits, cause it's consumed enough from me already. I'll absolutely platinum it whenever I do get back to it, though, whether that means starting over or NG+ or what. The 3 endings seem to all involve following story paths for an extended amount of time, so there's a good chance you'll need to beat the game outright 3x to get the platinum.

Straight sword, there are a few. Sword of Night and Flame and Regalia of Eochaid, flails are fast as well you got Family Heads flail, any slower but not by any means slow curved swords, Wing of Astel. Oh and katanas like the moonveil.

I have this on PC and PS5 but been playing on PS5 for two specific reasons. I really want to no life this game on PC but has the stuttering and frame rate drops been fixed yet? Also is there a way to play this game on an ultrawide monitor without the black bars on each side? I can deal with the stuttering but the black bars totally kills the game for me.

This is exactly my situation and why I'm playing on PS5. Stuttering and no ultrawide. Maybe by the time I'm done with it, they'll patch up the PC version and I'll do a second run through with some mods.

Okay after a little digging around I found this video how to enable ultra widescreen but there is a catch. (of course there is) You have to play the game in offline mode cause EAC will detect ultra wide as suspicious activity. I also found a way to get around to play it through steam by renaming a few files (the EAC exe file)and now I can play the game on my PC in all of it's ultra-wide master race glory.

I just got the last PS4 copy in the main gaming store in Birmingham (UK 2nd city) and they also had one XBOX copy left.

So just an anecdote that it's selling well!

They patched the stuttering on day 2 or 3. I don’t know if that cured everyone but I don’t have it anymore.

I also did these things. All simple, took a couple minutes to do them all. I actually turned all the graphics setting to maximum yesterday and it runs great still. That’s going to be dependent on your pc build though I’m sure.

Yeah, in any game with iframe moves (the dodge roll makes you literally invulnerable for x frames), it's best to align your thinking around that invulnerability.

So after the latest update Im suddenly getting what I assume are the frame drops other people were talking about on PS5 earlier in the thread. Even with full stamina bar sometimes there is "input lag" before the game recognizes that I actually hit Circle to roll. Its mostly fine but it really sucks on boss fights that have big stagger attacks.

I don’t notice input lag but the frame rate is pretty bad in a lot of areas. Even just scrolling around the map screen causes it to noticeably drop.

It doesn't matter that much. Where it matters is you can't drop your stat allocations below the starting values when you respec. I think it'll be normal for players to respec throughout the game, so if you roll astrologer and halfway through respec to full STR build, you'll be carting around 16 INT and 15 Mind and have a less perfected build than if you rolled the Hero class, but it doesn't matter. It's so easy to level up in this game and your rune level gets astronomical. Those points aren't totally wasted too, they will help.

What weapon skills tho?

I guess what I'm really wondering is whether a hybrid build is gimped because if you're casting you're not swinging your weapon, but I don't know if there aren't like, mid-tier spells that really help a weapon swinging class.

Maybe what I really need to do is play a pure caster first to learn the casting system in the game so I can build a non-retarded hybrid build.

Maybe I'll just do a bleed dex build for now!!

You don't roll on the button press, you roll after the release. Its fucking retarded.
