I can’t seem to get Radahn. Given how shitty my npcs are and how little damage they do, I’m really confused how some of you said he got wrecked before he could even P2.

Oh, also decided to try multiplayer coop for the first time, nothing but “unable to summon cooperator” or whatever. Neat.

As soon as 1 or two of them start dying run away to start resummoning them all. Otherwise, stay behind him and time your fully charged strong attack to hit as you run by him.

Don't know about wrecking him before he gets to phase 2, but as long as you don't get too greedy its reasonably safe

Is there something I'm missing in sellia crystal tunnels somewhere or are they really trying to say I have to sneak through the tunnels every time I want to attempt fallingstar beast?

Yes, I kicked the ladder down

That dungeon is just flat-out bad, IMO. Those centipede-men are horrible, and yeah, you have to basically sneak or beeline through every time.

Question for anyone with a better memory than mine: What are all of the overworld dragon bosses? I.e. the ones with a boss HP meter. I skipped almost all of them and I want to go back and clear them all out at level 120.

Here are the ones I remember:
-Dragon in swamp near beginning (got this one)
-Mega-dragon surrounded by green dragons (got this one, dunno if it's actually supposed to be a boss)
-Dragon on the plateau where you get Dark Moon Greatsword
-Ice dragon on the frozen lake
-Black dragon near the 3 towers where Renna lives

I can't remember/pinpoint the locations of any other ones offhand, so feel free to throw some my way.

I also get spammed with "unable to summon" messages. I think that happens when someone else gets to the sign first. There's a lot of competition to gobble up summon signs. I put mine down a lot and always get summoned in like 30 seconds.

The Haligree tree area, whatever the part heading down to Malenia is called, is a great place to level up in co-op. I put summon signs down, get summoned, help people fight through the area until they inevitably and unfortunately die, repeat. Getting like 20k souls a minute doing that stuff. Exp flows fast when you have 2-3 people plowing, and even the puny guards give like 3k with the beetle talisman on. So basically I get a level every 4-5 minutes doing co-op there, and that's a conservative estimate (it's usually better). Getting Arcane to 20 to use River of Blood until I can get Malenia's sword.

Speaking of Malenia, she absolutely whooped my ass. I got her first form down to about 40% after many tries, but her ability to steal HP when she damages you is ridiculously OP to deal with. I guess the good news is that if I can beat her, I can probably beat any of the late game bosses.

Just took out Fire Giant finally. Bring fire resist for that one. Also, when you reach the grace site on top of the giant bowl after that, you have to sit there and talk to Melina. I ran around for a few minutes looking for a way down into the bowl, and there isn't one. Ton of bloodstains of other people jumping into it because it looks like that's where you need to go. So maybe this'll save somebody a few minutes of being lost/dying.

That mega dragon is such an easy kill at low levels. Just use a flail with strong atk spin and hit the left side of its tail until bleed death. Nothing paths there and nearly 100k xp + 5 dragon hearts. Not sure what that fight was supposed to look like /shrug.

I think that's all of them tho.

Will this game have dlcs at all?

Lol fully upgraded mimic tear trivializes the game completely. I know people say that about a lot of things, but in this case it’s true. Think I’m going to upgrade something different because I don’t even currently have to learn any boss moves at all. Went into the final boss for fia’s quest line and just summoned mimic and sent a few spells in before collecting my runes

Yea I did the same and had to quit using the mimic. It solod a couple side bosses in dungeons while I just watched lol.

Maybe if you’re really bad at the game like Srathor Srathor the mimic plays bad too and isn’t OP.

So far Journey 2 is lame, no pvp anymore, same stuff, some chests are even empty now. Very unsatisfying. Going to have to get to the end again as well to get the bells to be able to buy the mats, this will likely push me so far ahead in levels that no one will be in range to even invade. Up to academy again.

Another PSA for anyone who missed it: Be sure to buy up on weapon mats at the end of NG, because the bells poof in NG+. You want to have a nice supply of smithing stones, somber smithing stones, grave glovewort, and ghost glovewort, especially the higher-tier of each since they take so damn long to get to. I'm trying to get enough together to forge like 3 weapons to max in each category, to give me some latitude to play with different builds whenever I do go to NG+.

Kinda sucks that there isn't as much multiplayer in NG+ but I'm not surprised. It'll probably be a long time before I do NG+ and it'll probably be the last thing I do with the game. Seems like you can get most of the platinum done in NG. I thought you had to play the game all the way through 3x to get all the ending trophies since they involve massive sidequests, but it turns out you might be able to do all of them in NG and just reload cloud saves to make different choices to get all 3 endings. So just beat the final boss 3x.

Finished after collecting all the great runes. What can I say about this one? It makes me happy to be alive? 10/10.

So wanted to give this a try to make sure I was still a boomer and bad at games, and to make sure that I still don't understand why people love these games. The fact that this one is a more open-world game is a good thing, so I'm not all negative.

So right out the gate, you run into this Tree Sentinel, and due to the open-world nature of the game, there's some that might catch on that you should go explore, level up, get gear, etc before just slamming your dick against this guy over and over. And sure, depending on your starting "class" this dude is going to be easier or harder for some. I hope you all loved it so much. But to put a dude like that right out the gate is just a shout-out to all you Souls lovers that are like YESSS my dick is still getting slammed with a hammer. FUCK YEA!! and to someone like me who isn't a Soulsbourne lover questioning wtf was the point?

C'est la vie.

I never even saw that dude until I looked up what I was missing before I NG+, if something stomps you in the open world it is easily avoidable. Why not just avoid and go look for something else?

I mean i'm in this category. I suck dick at souls fighting. When i'm getting destroyed i'll just go elsewhere and come back in 10 levels with better equipment, and if that's not an option i'll give it an honest go a few times and if i'm still not getting close then i'll just look up cheese like was posted for killing rhadan

the problem isn't you being bad, it's you also not being clever enough to work around it to enjoy one of the most epic games of the decade

haha Ritley Ritley I had a much more aggressive post written up before I edited it down. Some of that was I don't care how many git gud's I get, you'll not sway me! haha

And you make good points, why not just come back later? I don't know how, but I've been programmed to basically play games on rails. So the fact that I know that Tree Sentinel exists now means I can't just bypass him and move on. In my brain, I'm like if they didn't want me to beat this guy right here and right now, they wouldn't have put him right here. So as Khane so accurately points out, it sometimes takes a long time to win, but you will win. My problem is though that once I win I don't get that rush of endorphins and the awesome feeling of accomplishment. I'm just glad it's over and thankful the annoyance is over. So beating hard boss fights doesn't thrill me or something I enjoy at all.

So it's fun that you just skirt around the game only doing content that's "easy" or you're over-powered for? How is that a fun game?
