If that's really the case I'm kind of sad, I definitely felt Radahn was tightly tuned for a solo melee build, but with so many options and Summons available I didn't think it needed much of a nerf.
Oh well, guess I'll see how it goes if I ever finish my first playthrough, really wish I had more time to play, I literally still think about this fucking game at work, it's insane.

That makes me sad about the radahn nerf. I had bumped into him and felt a little underleveled so I went exploring caelid more, by the time I got around to him again the patch had happened. This time I one shot him while taking almost no damage.

Best early (=nothing past altus/gelmir, no Blasphemous Blade because I don't want to break questlines, etc.) game weapon for faith/arcane build... go. Somber stone only for obvious reasons.

Finally found something late game that was weak against my 2h fat boy, bullied the shit out of the assassin that drops black knife tiche ashes. Kept him staggered the whole fight and only had to stop bashing his face in to regen stamina. Felt good man.

Alecto is easy if you know the trick. Equip a moderate stamina weapon with reasonable stagger (spears are a good choice). Lure her to the edge so she is wedged next to a rock and a cliff. Spam R1 and never stop. Dumb as shit, but easy way to beat her as mele.
That first born of the void fucker, on the other hand, can eat a bag of dicks.
Mogh has to go down as the worst boss design in terms of how fucked you are if you try to fight him legit vs cheesing him. Dragon Talisman and the fly swarm (found in his own fucking zone) with any tanky ash raped him at L128 for me. Fucking retarded that the god of blood can be bled so easy. Also fucking retarded that he has rape face mele and AE bleed you cannot defend against (and map wide chain bleed at the end of phase 1).

Concur with this, but if you are into daggers the one you get from the Alecto light boss early on is pretty solid now that they unfucked scaling. I mean on paper, winged scythe is my second hardest hitting weapon (I am L128 and just starting to explore the capitol), it just does next to no stagger and the reach is a bit lacking. I probably would have used it more, but Sword of Dark and Fire is just so good for an all around stat build.

Inquisitors spear from the virgins below volcano. Or the scavengers sword if you don't mind doing the grace warp thing to get there early, but that might not be great before you have occult infusion?
Absolute early early game though is the winged scythe as others mentioned, or just the golden halberd from tree sentinel if you can manage the weight/str requirement.

That's an interesting alternative. It's got bleed, plus it's split phys/fire damage and I intend to use Flame Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow stacking a lot. The weapon skill seems pretty meh though.

I literally dodged nothing on her and face tanked with the finger print shield. Tiche and I wailed on her to break poise and get front stabs between her Waterfowl Dance. For Phase 2 during Scarlet Aeonia, I just backed away with the shield raised while she is airborne. Once the blast went off you get knocked back, I took another couple steps back for good measure, then hit her with Dragon Frost Breath.
If you are going with no Ashes, you need something that does a LOT of poise damage to get posture breaks, which will help make up for the damage lost while blocking.
Phase 1 was fairly trivial, in Phase 2 the expanded move set is obviously more of a pain to try and get enough hits in to mitigate the healing.
