I really don't know, just something I read awhile back. It allows you to continue to explore areas and not be tied to one spot till you find another. From has gained my confidence they make more correct decisions rather than bad ones, we'll see.

Sure, but that's not the point. This "feature" turns every thrashmob into a walking campfire where you can replenish without the need to travel to any of the Sites of Grace. Wouldn't surprise me if they balance it a bit before release to make it less generous.

In Dark souls II you can basically kill one or two boss and buy 99 lifegems. Basically giving you an infinite stack of healing DOT items + your flask.
Also don't forget that in Demon Souls you also can do that in some way. So i'm not too worried about this refill flask situation.
