I doubt they would be causing this much comotion now for a release that would be next year. When the hype train has left town. My prediction is either this year late or early next year.

As if Titan was the only competitor? Did you forget about Wildstar? ESO?

As the above posters said. They need to strike while the iron is hot. Hypetrain is in full motion right now. If they wait til next year to launch it will have lost a LOT of steam.

They are also in a good spot to release this year. The other major mmos to hit ade Wildstar and TESO which are both said to releass sometime next year. This puts them in a good spot to hit before they do when everyone is itching for something new. Shit, they have a chance to steal some wow subs as well since wow is near its boring post expansion time.

Everyone who has seen teso knows it isn't a competitor at all. Couldn't even last 20 minutes in that garbage.

They have scraped started over many times the Design.

I want this game as much as everyone else but the last thing SOE needs is to launch this 6-9 months to early like eq2 and Vanguard.
Other then Everquest there record is not great.
Also PS2 they semi launched to early they did not do as well as they hoped.

For better or Worse when players think of SOE they think of the everquest franchise so they cant fuck this up again.
SOE is dying to have game with over million subs with major cash shop so this is there only real chance.

I basically from all the alphas and betas have done, strongly feel that they would need at least till Nov or Dec 2014.
Had they been working on this for 5-6 years then yah it could be sooner, but its been less then 3 years, and Smed has said many times they changed a lot of the Pre Alpha design direction shit, so just don't see how it be sooner then that mates.

Soe should have learned by now that releasing a shitty game to hit market target dates is a bad idea. Especially if your game is decent other than bad performance.

If it's on the ps2 engine I am less worried. And if it is a horizontal sandbox then lack of content might not be a huge issue as long as it has a base.

Ok - CRAZY PREDICTION TIME:

Will launch with PS4. Gamescom is right around the corner. Perfect opportunity for them to show it off to the regular console gaming masses right after announced at SoE.
