Bigger guild is still an advantage because you're more likely to have enough people willing to spend 2 days grinding all the flags. You join faceless you know it's kind of expected to put your life on hold for an expac launch.

Small guilds more likely to have people with lives that nope out of all that.

Come join the real fun
POE2 isn't that. I like it, but I've had much more fun playing Souls games. POE people are just delusional there game is the shit above everyone other one. It's not. I just dodged rolled around like I did in a Souls game but with much less epic music. /yawn

I just started playing Jedi Survivor because it's much more fun. The combat is way more satisfying.

That's not really how the game works tho. You're only doing that dodge rolling shit for like the first couple of acts. The game is about building your character so you can just stomp shit. Once your build comes online it's very fun. Kind of crazy that you quit before you even get to the best part of the game.

You should try a monk til end game if you like Jedi's.

If everyone needs to try Monk, it's not much of a game.

Right now it seems like pretty much everything is a Souls knockoff. I love Souls / Fromsoft and probably spend more time playing their stuff than all other single player games combined. After a while it gets pretty tiresome how almost every new non-From game that gets on my radar is the same formula of dodge rolling, swinging, maybe holding R1 to do a special attack.

I had a bunch of demos lined up on the PS5 that I haven't had time to get to for the past couple of months: Visions of Mana, Valkyrie Elysium, Reynatis, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Ys X, a few others. Literally 100% of them were "parry and/or dodge roll then smack the enemy" type games. Some gameplay variety wouldn't kill these companies, seriously.

(And as I say that, my most-wanted game is probably Black Myth Wukong, whenever I can put aside some real time to get into it)

They should patch before EVERY launch and bring the servers up a few minutes before.

Hello, would like to share how friends and I got to 65 in PoI. (This is a video a few days after launch when we were leveling boxes)

12 Wizards
3 Enchanters
2 Clerics
1 Bard

1 Main Driver (Enchanter)

We can endlessly loop PoI and pickup every single mob. Sometimes we get ahead of the spawn timer other times we are just at it.

We're still working to improve it, here's a testimonial from a guildie that was keeping track of exp (I always forget to)

"Overall was about 4:12 to go from 61.40 to 65 w/a 25% pot. It was about 1:27 from 64-65...
just fyi/reference.. very good imo"

My group all hit 65 except me so I went around PoI with a bard/monk/shaman(me) trio and just blasted shit. Was getting close to 1% exp with a 25er per minute at something like 0.131% per kill. Was better than Tactics where we'd get like 0.35% per kill but death was possible and you needed a full group and even with charm pets and 4 dps it just wasn't worth it if you don't need specs/glyphs.

Another EverQuest game designer has announced he's leaving Darkpaw. Phillip "Pip" Sexton. He worked his way up from tech support, so he's another internal hire. He posted his farewell on the official forums:

He claims he loves the EQ community but I don't recall him ever posting anything of substance on the forums. Who knows the real reason why he left but I can only speculate that nobody worth their salt wants to work for a shitty studio like Darkpaw run by rapacious investment bankers like Enad Global 7. It has to be embarrassing to work for a studio that hasn't produced a new game in 20 years.

How many design devs are left on the team now? (Note: our beloved lunch lady forum moderator has already had to delete posts on the thread.)

Most former EQ devs have ended up at Blizzard working on WoW or for Amazon. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
