I have stopped looting most items completely.

I geared out a dozen of my toons and mailed a ton of crap to my brother and his wife for all their toons.

Bring on the bazaar!

Comparing FV to Mischief is not really an apples to apples comparison in my opinion.

Mischief drops literal tons of loot on rare and raid mobs. The simple fact that VS drops VP loot should be enough to explain how FV and Mischief are two completely different server types.

Hell you can get fungi tunics off of Herbalist. I even saw a spirit wracked cord drop in the inner crypt of Sebelis. It's insane the amount of loot dropping and who it's dropping off of.

FV doesn't have 2.5x loot and AoC instances.
FV doesn't have easy mode keys
FV doesn't have Willsappers dropping 50% of the time from mobs that can be soloed.

There are a few items that will maintain some sort of value, but the fact people are paying 10KR+ for PD loot is nuts. Were like 2 weeks into Kunark and the server has 20+ PD robes, on most TLPs only like 3 guilds would have killed PD.

Yeah, it's insanity to me the people that keep trying to move VP loot for insane amounts of Kr, especially since a lot of items from there aren't even that fucking good to begin with. I think they get away with it now, because EC is cancer and with all the "throwaway" loot, they think it still has value at X krono. Like I said, Luclin is going to turn this shit up to eleventy, especially with how Grieg's works. Goddamn is Grieg's going to be fun/insane on this server. That dungeon is going to be absolutely swamped. The Bazaar will help a lot too with people thinking shit like Valorium is worth krono, rofl.

They're pretty much just relegated to twink fodder on a freeloot server. People trying to move Katana of Flowing Water for like 8kr just make me laugh. Shit barely has a better ratio than a Ghoulbane and you think it's worth 128k plat? Sure dude...

If you ignore the silly "high end" items you can gear a character out for pennies.

If you are starting fresh you can basically buy 2 krono from the store to sell for plat and gear yourself out for a fun twinked out leveling experience. Buy yourself the double 40 slot bag pack for $33 and you get 8 exp pots with that. So that basic plan is like a $70 start that will actually be fun.

Join a guild where folks are working on epics and such together. Some people only play to make more kronos for the next server....but you'll notice there are plenty that want to enjoy the game as well.

It's not just that it's mediocre, it's that it's significantly more common. VP has 3 times as long of a respawn as Trak/VS but with random loot that doesn't matter, combine that with the bonus loot you're actually gonna see 4x times as much of the stuff. Then factor in that budget options are just rotting all over the place.

Paying a lot makes sense for stuff like Cleric Epics that have long term use, but on stuff like 1 of what will be like 300 PD robes that are gonna be worth sub 1KR in Velious makes absolutely no sense to me.

I mean, what group gear from Luclin do people even care about? I seriously can't think of anything that exciting that would be dropping. It's not like classic or kunark where the gear/raid disparity is much lower.

Silverwing Faceguard, Nightmarish Girdle, Acrylia gear, Possessed club/cleaver, BP of Living Shadow, Tome of Grotesque Rites, etc. There's a lot of really solid groupable shit in SoL. And if you include quested shit, that opens things like Solstice earring, Shissar ring, etc.

Sure, a lot of it is comparable, barely better, or even slightly worse than ToV loot and shit, but still plenty of solid group items in Luclin. And if CT revamp is also in Luclin, that opens up even more possibilities, unless CT revamp loot is tied to the classic "random" pool.

Pretty sure the high level CT revamp is during PoP not Luclin.
