There is a reason there is an eight minute video as soon as you load the game with DG stating OVER AND OVER again that this is ALPHA. Not sure how you can be butthurt about servers going down in Alpha, if you haven't done one before htey usually spend more time down than up.

I'm glad servers have had issues so all the idiots complaining can leave and get their refund. Less people to be annoyed by in game.

Early Rift Alpha was down every other day for new patches, not sure what you're remembering. Rift's Alpha was great, dev team listened a lot to the testers.

Because they were not alphas. As far as I remember every "beta" or "alpha" was just a marketing gimmick to get people interested and maybe iron out some bugs. How do you know they were not alphas? Because the servers stayed up. Yes. It probably means they went through a phase of testing before release. And what would you call that? Alpha, probably.

100% impressed with Georgeson and his handling of this so far , love the game from what I've seen and refund isn't even in my mind , looking forward to the future of EQL and even EQN somewhat now , and I'm a Pantheon old school backer also , I like both extremes like this.

That said , it's not unreasonable to point out some bad ideas.

Main one being , launching on a Fri evening. Bad idea.

Also not having physical hardware ready to go , you know you are expanding servers many , many times and soon. Whether it's VM's or not , having additional clusters of whatever kind they are using ready to go seemed to me would have already been ready.

Yes it's alpha , and not a bad one at that , SOE's overall's doing great at communication , I'm in no way raging , but the "it's alpha" excuse doesn't cover not pointing out bad decisions on some things. No idea why some seem insistent on making excuses for everything about this.

Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to freeze Alpha pack sales right now , even if for a few days , it whips up frenzy for when they open them back up , but also keeps the load from getting worse right now. FFXIV ARR froze digital sales for weeks when the servers were getting pummeled. Just saying it's not a ridiculous idea for them to consider.

Georgeson doing great , things look positive for SOE in the future and this game overall though.

It looks like harvesting bonus is disabled. Maybe a quick fix for the claim exploit to create resources because the bonus was getting applied there. I have a 60% bonus now (2 10% rings and 2 20% alpha potions) It should be 80% but I lost the 20% boost from yesterdays potion. I still only get 2,3 or 5 burled logs when harvesting trees though.
