For any newcomers, the majority of people (all?) are having their claims reset its voxel data almost daily, so it's not worth it to start any serious building projects yet.
I'd recommend just doing a ton of gathering, crafting better picks/axes/tools, and holding out until the claim situation is more stable.
That's not to say you shouldn't build, because it *is* fun and it's good to learn the tools and their quirks.. just don't get too attached to them.

Yeah, just build shit with dirt first if you want. Don't build with anything that's hard to acquire yet. Once you create the paint tool, you can go back to anything you've made and swap out the materials for whatever else.

I PM'd you because i didn't want to derail the thread. your reply sucked and you are really making a large deal out of a loose comment with multiple posts related in the same thread.
If you had reading comprehension you would realize my comments were in support of your general view of the game in the end. (e.g. obviously there will be bugs and disconnects and lost data etc, what matters is the "game" being solid and put through its paces so in the end it is successful)
If you want to get butthurt and project your feelings and built up angst then that is cool. but "troll neutralizer" sounds an awful lot like "stupid self righteous fuck trying to police rerolled via forum title"
Anyways, i'm liking you guys' screens. this is going to be monetized to shit by the looks of it. I'm curious to see how they will handle the resource accumulation for the tool upgrades/unlocks with respect to the average duration of play between different types of players. hopefully the station pass will limit some of the out of pocket.
Blazin- how long did it take to actually "construct" that? not including time gathering resources.

Yeah best thing ever, I still have about 8k pts or so left from the last couple times I did a triple weekend.
If his computer can handle it and he won't mind crashing, bugs, claims poofing, being in alpha etc. Remember its at least $60 to get into atm.
How does this work overall ? I haven't played an SOE game in over a year. I know I will sub for EQL/N but if I can stock up on SC cash cheaply before hand I'm up for that. Can you just buy the SC on sale and leave it on your account in general not applied to a specific game ?
