Try this stuffThe staggering after getting hit is super annoying when combined with lightning speed ghouls and enemies being able to block you into corners.
Also getting some really bad frame rate issues on a 4.5ghz 4690k and heavily ocd 980ti.
instructions on how to fix the fov, mouse movement, skip intro screens etc:

I did all this stuff, plus patched + updated the graphics drivers last night after nvidia released new ones + turned off in game AA and whatnot and forced them on through nvidia control panel. I was already getting rock solid performance and great FPS, but I got at least a 10 fps increase and more stability out doors as a result.
I didn't uncap my frame rate past 60 because it fucks with lockpicking and stuff. Still playable but shit moves too fast if you do that.
So I suggest doing this, basically. I run at 1440p and the game looks fantastic.
Try the new 358.91 drivers, I use a 3470K and a 970 both at default frequencies and it's at 60 fps almost all the time, dips to 40ish at worst. Everything at ultra quality. The staggering after getting hit is super annoying when combined with lightning speed ghouls and enemies being able to block you into corners.

Make sure you grabbed the latest GPU drivers. They are supposed to be Fallout 4 "optimized".The staggering after getting hit is super annoying when combined with lightning speed ghouls and enemies being able to block you into corners.
