Ok bros a small group of us are going to be in Vegas for Halloween this weekend. I'm renting a car so we are hitting up The Tops ( Circus Circus ) for the Frightdome haunted houses, Fremont (Freeside) for the costume craziness and we are going to take the group out to Goodsprings for food and ghosts.

Pioneer Saloon - Goodsprings, NV - Welcome

Let me know if you want to hang.
Start at Goodsprings an head to LV or you'll never make it there from LV. Long pain in the ass drive when you're drunk, on Molly, and have cocaine drip going down the back of your throat while you're having your dick sucked.

And there will be traffic on Halloween.

Or they can be wholesome internet gamers and just stick to beer like good little partiers!

It sounds more like: Each area has a level range. It is hard-coded in the game, but dynamically scales within that range to you. So Cave 1 has a range of 5-10, Cave 2 is 10-15, etc. and it's just hard coded that way. That is very similar (but I would say better) than Skyrim/FO3
I agree. It'd suck if they did it like Amalur though, and made say, South Boston an area that rubberbands to 5-35, but you get within spitting distance of it at level 8 but don't start exploring it until level 30 and it's permanently locked at level 8.

I was trying to be funny. Hence the last line about traffic. That's the real concern. It once took me 6 hours to get from LV to Baker due to a truck accident blocking traffic. Since then I tend to plant when I'm there and visit the Fallout locations during the day when they're bright and shiny (they're shitholes filled with white trash from SoCal). I do like playing the Star Trek slot at Buffalo Bill's though.

The way it works in Skyrim, if I remember correctly, after some period of time, say 3 ingame days, areas that are clear reset and will re lock in at a higher level.

Now I don't know if that is solely for indoor areas like caves or not, or if it works for outdoors as well, hopefully it does.

Well the good thing about levels is they're easily modded if they do fuck them up.

They've said they're going to try and get mods up and running on consoles (so they can charge for them obviously)
Just imagine the disappointment when console fans discover their machines start choking after loading just 5 mods.

Ya I have been going every year since 2010 and I agree it's better during the day. Don't think I am doing Primm this time because we want to go hiking at Red Rocks which of course is vastly superior. Primm is awesome but I've done it twice.

Apparently the various gaming media outlets are getting their copies of FO4 today. Prepare for spoilers.

Really? Bonnie and Clyde car is cool.
There's that and an ok roller coaster, but not much else. It's ok to spend 30 minutes on during your first trip to Vegas if you're coming from I-15, but I think most people would be disappointed if they went out of their way for it.
