FX is being some serious cunts with the commercials in this show.

My DVR recording this week is 1 hour, 17 minutes. Download a Torrent of the show and it's 51 minutes of actual showtime(including credits)

26 minutes of goddamn commercials in what should basically be an hour-long show. Yeah, 51 minutes is a *little* more show than most hour shows(most tend to be 44-46minutes), but adding 17 extra minutes of runtime just for commercials is nuts.

I'm going to stop DVRing it and just start torrenting it because of that crap.

He was in the scenes from next week at the end. They showed a guy surrounded by people and Nick Offerman told the mechanic he wasn't gonna shake his hand because he made a movie with a monkey. That was a Bedtime for Bonzo reference.

Absolutely ruins the flow. TV shows are often scripted with commercials in mind, but tv shows that work to capture the cinema feel (like Fargo) work so much better without interruption.

While this season doesnt have the amazing character Malvo, the overall story is better. Very surprised this might be better than season 1

I told my wife yesterday that the overall show this season has eclipsed season 1. Here's hoping that next season is the rise of the Gearheart Mafia in Fargo and centers around Ted Danson as a rookie or maybe his dad. That would be awesome.

Anyone have any theories on the space ship?

I swear in this last episode, the Indian is in the diner, clock says its about 7:10, he walks outside into the road, the alien lights flash for a bit, he looks at his watch and its 9:15. It's like 2 hours completely disappeared.

I don't get what they're going for with the alien lights.

I'd be fine if they took a tasteful, small sci-fi turn at some point. Not "oh Aliens rescue Kirsten Dunst from the Mafia!" though. More like all the mobster in a big battle see the space ship, freak out, and just stop fighting like "wtf, we got bigger problems."

Yeah, this makes sense. The Betty and Barney case was made into a movie during the 70s, popularizing the whole alien abduction and "missing time" phenomena.

I got behind and just caught up on the last 3 episodes this week and this show is awesome. Every character is interesting and feels like there is more to know about them. I especially like the black guy from KC. He is just a cool dude. The commercials are pretty lame and the girl who was naked for 5 minutes with her hair glued to her tits took me out of it a little but aside from some minor quibbles this is the best show I'm watching right now by far and I kind of agree that it's looking even better than S1 so far.

She's supposed to be 16 or 17 though right? Could be wrong, I thought they mentioned she was underage when she went with her uncle to bury the typewriter guy.
