Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius

I mean the general rule is to get every random crappy piece of equipment from events just in case, and you guys are talking about skipping an axe that is higher atk than anything that has been released on JP, has comparable tanking stats to blood sword without having to waste orbs on colosseum, and is non-elemental to boot. While ideally you probably want fixed dice for FV, you damn sure don't want a goddamn water element axe shitting up his ability to take advantage of fire imperil.

So yeah, y'all are retarded.

How likely am I even to pull an axe user? Unless Fire Veritas is a 3* base I don't see myself realistically pulling him.

Sigh, I guess I'll farm the axe too. Should take around 2 days, so I'll finish it up just in time for whatever's coming Friday. Still don't think I'll ever actually use the damn thing, but I may as well take advantage that I got a full team of synergy units for this event.

He's a 5*. The part about Viking Axe being bad for him is right though, I never pulled a Mercedes and forgot her axe is water element.

Personally I just don't care. I know it's good and that I should get it just in case, but I also know it's almost certain that it will never be used. With Nioh out today I'll be lucky to get 50k candy total, let alone 50k extra to spend on the axe.

Nox has been behaving better (~16 hours straight yesterday) so unless there's something of supreme importance for V-Day I'm just going to TM macro through this event and give zero fucks about what I miss. Dailies will get me soul crown, cheap tickets, maybe some misc stuff. That'll have to do.

He's a 5* but he's on one of the best, if not the best banners the game will ever have. Dark Veritas and Fire Veritas are both insane damage dealers, DV essentially being a dark-element Orlandu and FV being a broken as fuck capper. Earth Veritas is a top tier draw tank, and all six Veritas (three more on a later banner) have amazing TMs. Victoria is a solid mage, although mages are definitely lackluster by that point in the game, but she's solid for arena if you don't want to roll the dice with Shantotto. Tim is super valuable despite being a 3* base because he has 50% breaks, making him mandatory for the Bahamut fight if you don't have access to a fully enhanced Ramza.

I'm seriously contemplating just saving the majority of my tickets between now and that banner despite it not coming out til early/mid summer because there are so few banners worth going HAM on between now and then. The Tidus banner is one of them, but after finally pulling some Zidanes, I no longer need a bunch of Abels and will be perfectly fine with the 1 or 2 I get from dailies. FF12 banner is tentatively worth going in on because Balthier becomes an amazing capper after the DH changes (contingent on you pulling both Cloud and Elfried for their TMs though), Ashe chains well and is great to stack in arena, Rasler is useful and has an amazing TM. FF11 banner is really worth going HAM on, Prishe is amazing and has a completely retarded TM, and Werei has an amazing TM as well, but unless you're spending a lot of money, if you can wait another month you'll get that first Veritas banner.

You can save all your tix and Lapis for the Veritas banner and by that time JP will have a banner even more insane. Look how long Global has already been delaying Orlandeau. I get the appeal of saving for future banners but at some point there's gotta be a line drawn.

Also I don't care how insane the Veritas banner is, if the axe user is a 5* banner I will probably not be able to pull him. I don't have the time to farm up everything I want so I'mma spend my candy elsewhere.

Is that Orlandeau bullshit some revisionist nonsense from one of the remakes or something? ORLANDU! NOT ORLANDO!

Anyway, it's not about holding out for the most insane banner possible, it's the fact that most of the banners between now and then are somewhere between mediocre and fucking awful. I pointed out the standouts, Tidus, FF12, and FF11, then Veritas DFE. Orlandu may represent the single largest power creep in the history of FFBE, but his banner is fucking awful, especially if the gacha change hasn't hit GL yet. The gacha change is a very strong reason to save your tickets, even if you don't save all the way until Veritas. After about 5 weeks on JP, I can say that the gacha change is fucking amazing, and everyone on GL should be fucking furious that Gumi didn't implement it immediately. I'd say 75% of my golds on GL have been troll, and 2 of my 7 rainbows (my rainbow WoL was back before Lightning came out so troll rainbows weren't technically a thing yet). Pulling post-gacha change is the fucking promised land. The closest thing I've gotten to a troll gold on JP is Vanille, but it's still a very strong TMR.

It's also not just about chasing specific 5*, it's about the banner as a whole as compensation for when you don't pull the 5* in question. I've gone all in on three banners so far in GL, FF3, BF, and Noctis, because all three banners had good units and/or TMRs in addition to the 5*. If all I cared about was chasing a specific 5*, I'd be planning to go hog wild chasing Eileen in hopes of getting two. The problem with that plan is that the 4* is meh and the 3*s are total garbage. The standout banners I cited are the ones where you'll still come away with a good haul even if you miss the 5*.

Need to get another 6* Physical unit in my team. I have had ass luck on getting another 5* base or Chizuru.

Leaning towards Bartz (since I am working on TM for him right now) or Xiao (since I need to work on TM for Firion anyhow).

Depending on how good my bonus is this month (and how low my willpower is) I will probably whale for Orlandu.

Mercedes is shit, and Xiao is mostly shit. Bartz is somewhat shit, but he's a very useful utility unit for doing funky stuff down the road, like tailwind-entrust, or life-saccing a rezzer with dualcast.

Have any thoughts as to when Agrias may be able to be awakened 6*? Is that supposed to come with the next FFT banner?

Once you finish the storyline (about a week or so of play) then the exploration mode is an extremely tiny part of your overall playtime.

Agrias 6* is still a long ways off. Definitely not in the next FFT event (that's for Orlandu).

Garland 6* is pretty good, for a 3* base. He loses to most 5* base, but if you can take advantage of his dark debuff, he can be a huge boost to a team. Bad news is that the only way to really use his dark debuff is with Garland himself, or TM weapons from 5* base units (DCecil, Delita, Elza).

Yeah except he loses 25% atk if he doesn't have a greatsword equipped, which means you either need desubringaru or you need DW, and it sorta defeats the point of him being a budget unit if you're tossing DW on him.

Garland can infuse himself with dark element for 5 turns as a 6*, and assuming we get the 125 atk non-elemental greatsword from the DQ event, anyone can use him for a dark damager. Sure you waste a turn buffing, but then you have 4 turns hitting for +50% damage, so it's worth it overall. At least on fights that are more than 1 turn gibfests, but if that's the case, does it really matter anyway?

There's also save the queen, which is a 112 atk non-elemental greatsword TM on a much easier to pull unit if we don't get that event.

I would love to have a unit with skills to imbue allies' weapons with certain elements.

Heck, that would've been perfect for Cerius.
