Ling is such a god-tier unit in the arena. Being able to AoE break, petrify/paralyze/sleep, or AoE cure everything except Stop, while being immune to sleep, paralyze, and petrify is absolutely crazy. Her + Noctis has made arena mode a cakewalk for me. I'm in the 20k range (I don't pay for orb refills) and I have yet to go up against a team with Ribbons, and in the case there are status immune enemies (maybe with the petrify null bracelets) I can usually paralyze them and then knock them down or use Blizzard Flask with Noctis after breaking their DEF and SPR.

I slightly regret not pulling for a Ling for the reasons you mention, but I actually find enemy teams being status immune to be more common than not. When I find a team where fire flask works, I try to farm them every time they're offered as an opponent. There's some guy named Masamune around rank 15 in arena. Typical whale team, but none of his units have status protection. I've fought him (and crushed him) like 50 times this week.

Yeah, I don't challenge ranks quite that high lol. As long as I can stay above 30k I'll be satisfied.

lol I've been just beating him with blizzard flask, I rarely even test to see if fire flask works on the people I challenge.

I just take whomever is on the top of the list. Sometimes Noctis happens sometimes he don't. I rarely get to go first but unless they one round me it's right up their ass with Blizzard Flask and Phantom Shadows. Some fags have all the dodge in the game, so after I finish killing the rest of the team the Chizuru squad pops Dismissals and I melee them to death.

Yes but status effects apply even on dodges, so the stop chance still applies. Once stop lands, dodge is disabled for that unit.

yeah wind element phantom shadow is normally my go-to for weeks where i cant instagib with magic, but I only have 3 DW and two are tied up with Noctis and Randi.

Weren't paying attention to my candy total, have everything i want except the axe and still have 100k candy, so I guess I'm gonna grind out another 20k for the 70k moogle.

Since its snowing outside... I started drinking. Then thought it would be a good idea to spen $100 on Lapis

Did 2 10+1 pulls.
Dark Fina, Chizuru, Cloud of Darkness, Zidane x3, Refia, 2x Lighting (On same pull???), Luneth.

Quite happy with my bad decision. Will polish off my DW faster then I expected. Was really hoping for a Yun but this will have to do.
