Nice. I finished my 2 Jack TM's this morning.
Working on Leon (5%), Luneth (30%), Marie (60%), Chizuru (60%) and Dark Fina (26%)

Most of the TM I can work on after these fall off greatly so I will probably toss in 2 Hayate's to fill in for Chiz and Marie when their TM complete. Debating working on my 2 Arcs since I doubt I will pull an Emperor... want to make my Dark Fina (I have 2 unused Dual Wield materia right now) more useful since it seems Physical Resist may become more prevalent.

If the magic meta seems more likely I'll work on Letter And Arms for my Exdeath. I have the unit for that TM spewing out my asshole.

I'm not sure how many Ribbon's are enough. I have 6 Kefka, so technically can make up to 5, but will I ever need that many? I'd rather finish some faster by fusing them together. I'm thinking maybe 2 or 3 ribbons should be fine.

I'm going to do a mix of Discernment and Ribbons. Have 2 Seven and 2 Kefka right now.

Finally starting to come together!

Got Emp to lvl 100 and just got my wizard rod so he is at least starting to do some damage. Long term should I do a TM to get him a better spell then flare or 'aga's to DC? I hope I get my team up enough to try ELT of dreadnoggt. I want to try his ramp up spell on the boss. I made him my leader incase anyone wants to fuck around with him.

Few questions

1) is there anyway to get brilliant plasma or whatever that is needed to evolve Regis 4 star to 5? She needs fucking like 18...can't find any where to farm them, heard Pro mat's vortex but rates so bad it would take me weeks. I've got like 2 in the entire game so far ...I had 400 candies left over and bought 2 more but still far off. She is so useless I'm about to kick from the team until I get the mats to evolve.

2) are Espers stats really relevant outside the stat passing on (% of) to the main character. And I assume magic or attack based off type ....if they don't come out and fight in a form why does it matter what they have for hp.

At B1 in coliseum. You said go to B4 then start doing arena matches ?

I'm going to take a guess you are referring to Refia and Brilliant Ray. Not sure if you are trolling with how you keep butchering character names :) My understanding is the only place you can obtain these outside of events is from the PRO Chamber of Awakening.

That tier of evolution material is very easy to get from mog events and the enchanted maze event, but a complete pain in the ass to farm when those events aren't happening (such as right now). I'd just put Refia on the backburner for a week or so. Go up until the Survivor Helm reward in coloseum (or stop after magi robe if you don't care about a 2nd defensive heavy helm).

Espers have a few primary uses:

Giving killer abilities that stack (Diabolos giving Man-Killer and Demon-Killer for example)
Giving elemental resists to a unit (for example Ifrit gives +50% fire resist to the paired unit)
Giving key skills, such as Golem giving your tank Provoke, or Ramuh giving a healer or mage Osmose
Giving passive stats when equipped

As for actually summoning an esper, only Golem or Carbuncle have a useful summon effect (aoe reflect, or aoe physical resist). The rest deal like 50 damage and you wonder what crackhead designed their damage formulas.

I went all the way for the Blood Sword in the Colosseum because I had no decent great sword to give to my Noctis. Didn't take that long when they increased the cap to 5 orbs, either. Maybe like a month?

Sorry on the names, just started this week and driving so was going off the top of my head :)

I just got to the dwarves forge area. Have Lightining and Emp 6 star lvl 100 and Cecil lvl 55 6 star. I have a 4 star furion (recent 6 star sp) but only at 5% TM on DW so no rush on him I guess. I have the red mage with DC at 50% but I really should be running someone more useful since TM will take forever until I get more stam to work with and learn to macro. I need more damn friend points so I can raise more low like to sell.

So great swords don't require 2 hands? I am running enhancer and a 61 attack sword on lighting now. Assuming it's better then the 61 attack one. ?

I doubt you are far enough into Col. to get Blood Sword, it requires you to go through all the ranks (BGN, INT, ADV) and each one has 5 tiers (S,A,B,C,D) and each tier has 5 rounds (1,2,3,4,5) and each round requires 11 orbs (10 to get to boss, 1 to kill boss) So you need to run Colosseum like 825 times before you can unlock the RECIPE for Blood Sword, then you need to re-run some of the stages you've already beaten to get a chance-to-drop to craft the sword.

It's stupid, and you can probably get better weapons from the events now anywho.

Yeah it's got like 75 Atk and 12 Spr on it, but I wouldn't necessarily get it for Lightning because it is a large time investment. The reason why I needed to get it for Noctis was because he has a passive that gives him +35% Atk for using a great sword, and the next most accessible great sword has like 30 Atk on it.

The materials aren't "chance to drop," they're guaranteed drops. Also in the entire time I've been playing the game (since the FF3 event) there has yet to be an event with a great sword reward.

There was a 55 ATK GS in a chest during the Valentine's event.

That said, I'd be aiming for 30-90k arena bracket on a new account and put the rest of the orbs towards colosseum.

Which account did he give you? How far along is it?

I'd focus on finishing the story and unlocking Esper right now. We got a new event yesterday but it's a one and done deal. You won't be able to beat the highest difficulty but you should be able to clear lesser ones for some starting gear. In the future we get grinding events and our next one will, probably, be on Friday. Those are good for getting gear and summoning tickets and leveling units. So while we are between events it's a good chance to become familiar with the game and knock out story content.

One last thing, we talk a lot about Trust Mastery Rewards here (TMs or TMRs). You don't need to worry about them just yet. They are a long grind and they are something to focus on after catching up with content. TMRs are great for making even lackluster units very powerful but they are an investment and something to focus on later.
