Trying to come up with a team for Gilgamesh. Here's what I've got so far:

* Ling (Breaks, mana battery, Barstonera)
* Refia (Healer, raise)
* Noctis (Flame Lance)
* Chizuru (Kazekiri, Water Blade)
* Charlotte (Provoke)
* Friend Noctis (Excalibur)

Sometimes there is a moogle hiding by the door that is the right one, aside from that there's no trick. I just run straight up the middle all the time and get to the end just as much

Not really, no. 2 of the 3 doors lead onward and the third is the dead end. Final screen is just a 50/50 chance. If there's a moogle over a doorway it is guaranteed to be safe, but they are pretty rare.

since I have emp, deceided to start working on some magic tmrs. what's best to start w/? I have Ace (20mp 30mag), few shantos (30mag), few arcs, letter & arms guy but I assume Emp can't use a sword? I have 2 max level exdeaths in my arena party, both do fine w/ less than 500 mag.

Water is the part I'm having trouble coming up with an answer for. I don't want to waste a slot on Water Blade if I can help it. Since I don't have Mercedes TM done, that leaves me with either using a trident on someone, or picking up a friend Dark Fina and having her cast waterga every turn. Not sure how fragile mages are for this, but I guess I could toss a trident on Cecil as backup.

Rain will handle fire/earth/wind/light.

I'm thinking Bartz. With DW he can handle 3 elements. Trident, Golem Staff and Gale Barrage. He won't be doing shit for damage but he will keep 3 elements locked Down.

Dumb question: Did anyone get the Arena rewards this morning? Normally they go out first thing Sunday but I didn't get mine yet. I actually finished under 3k for the week so I want my power pots for Gilgamesh.

Sealing water isn't that big a deal, the int break is meaningless because nobody brings casters and the spr break isn't that bad because none of his attacks are pure magic. And if you're bringing Cecil, you want to leave light unsealed because it dramatically reduces Gilg's damage to be wasting attacks against a light immune tank.

You guys also seem to be forgetting about the achievements. Or that you'll want to keep magic break up.

Fully potted Noctis gains a bit over 50 mag but loses 4 atk and ~800 hp switching to ruler rings from bracers.

If we can, safely, ignore water I think my Gilgamesh team will be:

Cecil for tank stuff
Refia for healing stuff
Ling for Support and as a mana battery
Gilgamesh for damage: Wind Katana and Golem Staff
Noctis for damage: Blood Sword and Fire katana
No friend

My primary goal is to get the Katana and the 30% attack. I'll go back for the LB kill and no item run later (unless I can see a window to get the LB kill on my initial attempts).

So farming maze a lot and getting some LB pots, who should I use on? My main crew will all be 6 star (3 more calamity gems for Dark F @ 5 star) so lost the chance to give them to a 3 or 4 star base for easer leveling unfortunately.

Cecil Lightning Emp Refai ExDeath Olive or Dark F be the best? Assuming Cecil with group buff implications but if WoL may replace him in abit maybe Olive since she will probably be in my group for a while?

pure damage LBs are completely worthless to level. You only ever level up LBs that have a scaling buff or debuff attached.

Interesting. Is there a reason for this? Seems like a unit whose main attack (see: Olive) is their LB would benefit greatly from it.
