3 10+1, no gilg nor noc. sad day. 2nd Delita though, can work on that & 2nd leon for my Luneth, gilg already has that combo.

2 emp trust dudes. good thing I finished emp's staff a few days ago. i assumed my space wouldn't double w/ this change but starting to reconsider. for units that I max, i'll eventually pull their trust mogle. so i'll have trust characters for characters I'm yet to pull or only have 1 of but maxed already.

Elite Ifrit is no joke. I've killed him a couple of times and it seems that the deciding factor is if the friend unit is properly geared or not. Way too many people showing off their super Noctis or Olive with Odin, Bracers and Hero Rings. If they are not paralyze immune and don't have Fire resist than they rare useless to me.

For those on my friends list my Noctis is properly geared. I'm giving up about 50 attack and 700 HP but he does more damage and survives longer than a lot of people out there. I had to rethink my Refia too. I actually gave her equip heavy shield to ncrease fire resistance and that made a world of difference. I'm using the Bushido Blade trick as well and actually had to reduce Ling's attack so it wouldn't be too painful.

A perfect run will kill him but I've got the strategy for Ifrit down to where Elite is better than Pro with points.

12 10+1 for Noctis. Got a Delita along the way. Wanted his TMR. Also got enough Zidane to fuse my 4th DW.

^^ So much this. Longest part of each raid orb now is refreshing the friends list each kill.

Both Zidanes up to 5%! I've pulled like 7 Minfilia's and a ton of Thancred, but still no Yshtola.

I tried ELT and got wrecked. Even your Noctis, Sinzar, got killed on the first turn. I had Focus, Barfira, and Full Break up. Still no use. I guess I'll just cheese the escape method to get the lapis before the event ends.
edit: I think what I messed up was using Focus and not Provoke on Cecil so Noctis got targeted and killed on the first turn.

Also, when you do a multi raid summon, it uses as many coins as it can in that pull. I did a 4k raid summon and got 8 Thancred and the remaining 32 were materials. I was kind of hoping to do multiple 10 pulls, but oh well. Have to wonder if the raid summon drop rates for units are lower than regular summons. No yellow crystals in 50 summons?

Max is 50 pulls. Be grateful that the max isn't still 10 pulls, that's a change that just hit JP.

Are you absolutely sure you landed both attack and magic breaks? He can resist each individual stat break of a fullbreak, so you may have used fullbreak, saw say the spirit or def break icon, but didn't notice he wasn't actually magic or attack broken. There's no "resist" message either, you just have to manually check his status (hold click on Ifrit to check detailed debuff window). He only has 30% break resistance, but if he resists and you don't have a backup breaker, it's hard to recover (or survive at all). Both stats are equally important to break, as he does physical and magical AoE's. Magic break only matters on the turns he does radiant nuke though if you're using bushido + barfira for 100% immunity on the other 2 turns.

I'm up to 121,000 individual points, ranking 1332 (no refreshes). Got a Yshtola finally as well.

I initially thought Yun would be amazing against this boss, but I don't know... even when I take a 900+ atk Yun with a tamer whip, it feels slower than when I bring a friend Noctis or Gilgamesh. I think it's because Yun doesn't chain well with my own dps units, but a friend Noct/Gilg chains perfectly with my own units.

Really making me want to pull for a 2nd Gilgamesh for chaining on this banner. My quickest kills are when I find a friend Gilgamesh with Excalibur and the proper Ifrit layout. 10+ elemental chains every round dealing 15-20% of the bosses life.

Break resist is far and away the dumbest fucking thing Gumi has ever done, and I hope whatever faggot dev came up with the idea dies horribly.

Not kidding. I know it's just a cell phone game and I still hope the faggot that came up with break resist dies horribly.

I am positive I saw the MAG break symbol. I can't say for sure about the ATK break. That is probably what missed. I might have been okay with Cecil provoke, but I thought Focus would be more important on the first round. Oh well, I'm fine farming PRO until the raid levels get way up there and I get some more TM's done. I think he's at Raid Level 10+ now for 60+% bonus. PRO runs give like 4k raid points and 400 coins, which is alright.

We eventually get a patch that lets you setup a dedicated arena team, using "copies" of your gear that won't influence any of the teams outside of arena. I can't wait for that change since yeah, my arena team is a lot weaker this week due to needing specific gear/units setup for Ifrit (and I'm not swapping that shit every hour either).

For your friend unit, absolutely put him on Ifrit esper, and hopefully you taught your Ifrit beast killer.
Paralyze immunity (jeweled ring, ribbon, discernment) is also extremely important for anyone doing elite. There's just no way in the world I can take a non-immune friend since Ling is too busy with breaks / bushido to ever have the time to cure, and Refia is too busy doublecasting healing to spare time for esuna (usually).

Aside from that, go with your best dps setup, but try to remain above around 5,000 hp. If you have it, excalibur is nice since it's a popular element for chaining.

Sometimes Ifrit Lava Plumes you 3 times in one turn and you just die. Had it happen to me in Pro (it takes me 2 turns to kill him) and it eviscerated everyone on my team except my Noctis. Took me completely by surprise.

Ok been busy so haven't set up a team and just unlocked ELT.

What friend do you guys want, can do a very strong Olive, Noct, etc (no Firion or Gilgamesh LVLed/had)

I can also put up a beefy tank Marie with immunities if that would help since less people have her. Let me know

I did 6 full pulls with most the lapis I had left, 3 rainbows but sadly 2 did not help much (another emp and my 2nd luneth but at least I can use a luneth TM).

And the last one, boom Gilgamesh! Not sure i'll use him much but at least I have now and definitely wanted his TM.

Any thoughts on what "Level Down" means for each day? I hope it's just 1 level down, which is easy to make up for each day. Having it reset to Lvl 1 each day will be tough to reach the 1.2 mil at PRO difficulty.

It's only 1 level and the level down timer gets reset if you level him up.

Ok I have a Marie up with 70% fire resist, 5k hp, 224 def and 376 spirit as well as immunity (ribbon) and soluna ring. Just about to try the ELT for the first time now, hoping i'll be alright I got a pretty decent hp/fire resist pool across the team.
