I suspect he gains more resist as he levels up, because today I've had WAY more resists than the first day. I've been mostly going with Noctis companions now, so that I have 3 sources of breaks on my team, which has worked out well.
I'm over the 1 million point mark already, so with Ifrit's steady leveling up, I should hit the 1.6m threshold tomorrow and be completely finished with the raid. That's with clearing elite, so if pro gives 1/3 the points of elite, then everyone should easily full clear the rewards list before the event ends in 2 weeks even if they only use half their orbs per day.
Does the dark espers cast "spells" so Marie's reflect be of use? Would be nice for her to do more for my team, pretty much 70% fire resit buff and then covers focus if Cecil needs to back heal and elemental debuff. DC reflect would be nice to weave in. I really hope there is another awaking material grind of some sort soon, so many people to level up~ At least exp I can slowly grind out but need sooo many mats.
3rd gilg now, still can't get nox or memu to work, debatign what to do, thinking of just manually doing all 3 genji gloves, and mke my team 3x gilg, Olive, refia, and try to win things via chain

Don't know about the esper trial, but I tried to summon Carbuncle against the Ifrit raid once, and he totally ignored the reflect. We should be getting another mog event this coming Friday for evo mats. Should be either the final FF0 event, or the Tactics event (jk jk, no Orlandu until 2019). Might be an exploration event instead, but not sure any are coming soon from the "schedule".
I finished up the two Zidanes I pulled from this banner, so now I have 3 sources of dual wield. Feels good, it shaved 1-2 turns off my Ifrit kills. I've been getting better at properly chaining True Shot from Olive friends, and when I get it right, I can 3 round Ifrit. I can't wait until my Dark Cecil gets his enhancements. Ran the numbers, and Dark Cecil will do more than double Olives damage as a finisher.

The 150% bonus on Ifrit definitely makes PRO more viable. I was trying to figure out how much sleep I could lose and still get all of the rewards at only 100% bonus. I'm working to gear out my Gilgamesh now. I just finished Blade Mastery last night and popped Leon into the farm team. Does Dark Knight's Soul stack with Blade Mastery? Also, with Genji Blade, I can put off Sakurafabuki for a while and probably go for Black Cowl next? I have a Bracer almost done. Any other suggestions to beef him up?

Blade Mastery and Dark Knight's Soul stack. Use Genji Blade and Enhancer for your biggest attack increase. Regular swords aren't very common yet but the Dragon Quest collar features a 4 star with a solid one (It's the robot guy and the sword is like 102 attack and machine killer).
Black Cowl is very good but Gilgamesh can't wear it.
I assume you will use Genji Gloves and a Bracer. Ideally fill out the rest of your ability slots with Shine TMRs.

Oh right, duh. I already have the +14 ATK helm on Gilgamesh and Demon Mail. So yeah, once Gengi Glove and Bracer finish, he will take them. Then I have 2 Shines, one is in the works. He is not at level 100 yet, or I would have him up for my friend companion. I am taking advantage of the EXP trickle from PRO (2k per run) to finish out his last few levels and use my remaining cactuars on Y'shtola or Minfilia. Several hundred raid summons and I've only pulled 4 Minfilia's and no Y'shtola's. I'm also short a couple of items to be able to craft their gear too. Good thing this event is running a while.

I'm just under a million points and haven't pulled a single Y'shtola yet. But I'll get her today and clean out a ton of unit space with all of her Moogles. I finished one Minfilia TMR and started the second. I think I've finished five or six of Thancred's.

Cecil, Refia, Ling, Gilgamesh, Noctis, + Friend (always Noctis, Olive, or Gilgamesh). I posted a video of a typical farm kill a few posts back, viewable Here, 2.5 min or so on average. That was before finishing dualwield for Gilgamesh, which has sped up the kill somewhat due to more dps + higher chains.

Finished the event. Not sure if I'm going to waste time on more elites or just smokebomb out of them for XP. Elite was trivial once I got the hang of it. (THX MARIE <3)
Marie drastically dropped the HP requirements. My party is as followed
Olive, Noctis, Ling, Refia, Marie + Olive/Noctis(Excalibur)
Took 3-5 rounds a go. Haven't died in 20+ runs.
Before I got my Noctis to 100 I was running Cecil in order to cover Spirit buff. Much higher success rate now that I can Chain off 2x Noctis or with another Olive.

Do you ever fail? If my Ling's break is resisted, im ducked. I bring Rain to help break/ buff instead of a 2nd dps.
10 min raids suck. I burned my 5 orbs this morning on pro because i didn't habe time with work.
3 "currencies" to play the game (energy, arena orbs, event orbs) is to much. Guess I'm kind of glad there's an obvious end point to this event. No need to keep pushing unless you're going for rank

My failures have been do to mistakes on my part in the last 2 days. Shit like hitting repeat on the second round... Usually can recover. Ended up beating it on the 3rd round w/o healing a few times. If Lings breaks are resisted I can usually stay alive/recover assuming Noctis's break lands. It can get hairy. Ling uses daunting step every round regardless of whether it sticks or not so... A lot of people I've seen have been trying to only do it every other turn.
Biggest wildcard for me is my friend unit. All I check for is 1000+ ATK on Olive and Excalibur on Noctis. Taken Yun in once or twice if none of the above was available. My biggest whine is people who don't put a jeweled ring on their friend unit. Annoys the shit out of me as a I have to use Marie to use an item. Extra inputs I don't want to perform. She usually spends the whole fight casting Barfiraga + Shellga.
True. You do not get gold or unit XP, but you still get Rank XP when you Escape or Smokebomb out of the fight. Could be a good way to rank up without much effort and no NRG required.
It seems like Ifrit's health in PRO has gone down as the raid level went up. I seem to recall it taking around 1.6-1.7m damage to kill him at the beginning and now it's somewhere around 1.5m. I know you can overkill him and it keeps track of that, but early on it was so consistent it could not have been coincidence. Anyone noticed his health being lower in ELT?

As a followup to my previous post, here's an example of when I have an Olive friend available (4 turn kill this time):
A magic break resist doesn't really matter until turn 3, since I'm immune to the opening plume. Noctis with DW warp break + Ling is 3 chances to land atk break per turn, so that's rarely a problem. If I notice on turn 3 the magic break icon still hasn't shown up, I'll swap to thunder flask with Noctis. So far I've only had one wipe this whole event (not counting my very first run), and that was when magic break resisted every single time with multiple tries, wiping me when plume landed on turn 4.
I'm considering dropping Ling and going with Rain since I can give him dualwield now, and that will let me 2x Fullbreak per turn for more break chances to land (but weaker breaks) and even more chaining (I'd give Rain rune blade for more holy chains, don't have a 3rd Excalibur). Issue is I don't have a 2nd flame mail, and since I'm done with Ifrit in like 6 hours, I don't want to craft another either.

I ditched Firion for Luka but I've still failed twice due to break resists, by which I mean Ifrit resisting mag break three turns in a row and then wiping me. Gonna try sticking a spare DW on Ling just so she breaks twice a round. Really wish I had an Abel dagger to toss on her, Abel dagger is surprisingly convenient when you just want DW on someone but don't really care about optimizing them. I use it on Setzer in arena on JP, double slots is $$$.

Grats! Apparently, the drop rate for Y'shtola is the same for any rainbow at 1%. So far, no luck for me on that one. I will have to "earn" her the hard way. At 450k points so I should be able to get it done before too long.

Pretty fucking stupid. The pull rate on the 5* from the recent player created raid on JP sure as fuck wasn't 1%, or I wouldn't have completed three of his TMR.
At any rate, as shitty as this dumbass raid is, now that we're consistently getting content that actually requires tanks, it's pretty goddamn funny how little damage my Cecil takes. Granted the 100% FR is a big part of that, but he still has 7.1k hps, 567 def, and 213 spr with his FR pieces on. I've seen a Cecil floating around with over 10k hps, but I'm pretty sure mine has far more EHP than his.
