A lot of you must be married or something if you find staying in for a game out of context. I'm not missing shit at the club, bars, or hanging with friends that I haven't seen for the past 10 years from Thurs-Sunday.... and fuck the beach and my GF I see them both too much. (I mean that with the utmost love and respect)

Possibly, but you can freely swap between GC's and even max them all, it's not a pick one and you're stuck with it situation.

This is true at low levels, but at 50 it changes. (see below)

For each archetype, one has hat/chest, one has boots, one has gloves.

So for hat/chest it's:

Flames = caster
Adder = phys. dps
Mael = tank (except the defense is extremely low, so it's basically useless)

But like I said, I doubt the gear will make much difference. It will require fairly high rank, which is a lot of seals, plus the armor itself costs seals--which might mean you won't even be able to buy it before you finish your AF armor set.

Seems to me that the Crystal Tower is all but guaranteed to have FFIII bosses in it, since I recognize Xande, the Cloud of Darkness, and Hein. Who/what is the massive warrior figure beside the Cloud of Darkness though?

All three offer blue ring (+GP) and earring (+CP) at level 50, identical except in name.

They also all have weapons for every class, and the stats on those vary a bit. Again though, probably not something you'll use for long, if you are even able to buy it at all with your rank when you ding 50. All depends on how much effort you put into seals while leveling.

Don't get it either. I'm even married with 2 and 4 year old but still am going to try and marathon it this weekend as much as possible just because mmo launches are one time events for that particular game and just something I enjoy (as others have mentioned on the thread earlier , the "rush" thing). It's not like it's horrific to do it once or twice a year that such things happen if you really enjoy it.

On that note I've had this discussion with other non gaming folks that hear of such things, and I ask what's the difference between a weekend marathon of an mmo game launch vs college football Saturaday opening weekend ? (which I enjoy also ). I'd bring up most get up and start with 7am sportscenter going into college game day , followed by 11am game and with a PAC or mountain west game at night you are talking literally about sitting in the chair and poopsocking football from 7am till 1am. And I know it's not uncommon at all for many , many folks to do that far more often that those who get up for mmo launch marathons.

I haven't had anyone give me anything but stuttering or some bullshit reason it's not the same , because it is.

With this new turn of events, am I premature in thinking we might need go ahead and set up the rules and protocol as well as addemdum in light of our new gaming brethren, of the drinking games now?

I know personally my wife justlovesit when she comes in and I am shitfaced by 7am. But I stand by the fact that 4a.m. is the middle of the night, so drinking is ok for launch.
