Launch day WoW I was level 16 when I went to bed and I didn't poopsock. Must have been all that downtime!

... and then a few months later Hyjal was a shitfest that was always the last to come up on patch day, had long queues, and there was no option to server transfer yet. But holy fuck, how can you even blame WoW when it expected 500k subscribers and got 10 fucking million?

I'm waiting for the rage on all the untested content. You know, the content from level 21 - max that wasn't tested in beta. I'm sure all that stuff is tuned tighter than a virgin on prom night. What could possibly go wrong?

You aren't bitching about the game, you're bitching about the servers which will be sorted out in a week or 2 anyways. Doesn't that say something to you?

My friends and I woke up before early release launch. I guess I spent too much time customizing my char cuz of the 6 of us only one got on

No. What would help is emailing support with an issue and actually have it be resolved instead of them closing tickets and doing fucking nothing to help paying customers.

And seriously, anyone that compares this to WoW in 2004 when the genre was thought to be capped at 500k and a behemoth actually arose out of it, like Kreugen said, is fucking ridiculous.

I don't understand the people arguing with Ut here. You can agree with most of what he's saying and still like the game. It's not an either or proposition.

Some people will quit because of the server, and some will stay for the great game underneath. Nothing much more to it than that.

So in other news, anything cool coming from legacy players that are seeing the new end game shit for the first time? Or do they have to go through a bunch of back quests to open it?

It's not even MMO launches.. any multiplayer game has issues first week of launch no matter what. Maybe not their servers being brought down every few hours, but at least before then they were running really stable and quests were working, so idunno.

After the emergency maintenance on the North American/European data Worlds which was conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, to confirm the optimization of the matching server for the Duty Finder, we will be limiting the login more than usual. The sad thing is, I had decided weeks ago that I would wait a week or two for the bugs to work themselves out before I even looked into maybe playing the game. Great plan. Too bad I'm a fucking idiot.
